Mine bites, old table in the garage. But that's about to change! My Dad was up visiting and has agreed to make my workbench. Who has the best work area? (I'm thinkin' hellya's and foxy's, just from their exp.) Post pics please! I need ideas. I'm up to 4 5th scales (hopefully 5 soon, need a baja (edit- got it!), so I figure I'll need a large work area (1-2 cars being worked on)

Also:
Your list of invaluble tools (besides the basics)
and any other suggestions would be great

Thanks All

Well, apart from the standard stuff, invaluable items would be my compressor, my power drill, my dremel and my clamps... here's a pic... Nothing special, half the basement and the requisite level of shelving. The opposite wall is covered in bodies.

Hehe, not sure if it counts but all my work is done...at work. Having a machine shop with a new CNC is just awesome. Other than that, when I do anything at home, I usually cram myself in the corner of my desk.......not sure why.

Mine isn't bad, just barely big enough for one or 2 large scales though. The R&D shop at one of my jobs has tons of great tools and CNC equipment I can use so I just keep a drill press and dremmel at home, keeps the girlfriend happy too

Hmmm,

- 3 car garage
- 4x8 wook bench
- 8x6 machining area
- 80 gallon air compressor, buffer, grinder, vice, mig welder, plasma cutter
- 5.1 surround sound
- flat panel LCD tv on swivle w. direct TV
- futon couch with carpet, coffee table and mini fridge

So far does what I need it to for now. Plans are in the future to expand.
