hi just bought a 5b baja from ebay,has the stock engine,has the 28.5cc big bore kit and a Walbro WT813 carburetor w / modified shaft how much faster do you think it will go and approx. how many gallons of fuel can you get thru these before having to rebuild them,im just looking for an average thanks.

As far as I can tell, if you take good care of your engine they can last for a long time.

just keep maintaince up (air cleaner fuel filter etc) and look after it, use good oil, it'll last alonnng time........ like any engine really

I am wondering too.. for a nitro engines, it will lasts from 4 to 10 gallons, so how many gallon of fuel these petrol engines will lasts?

easy with good maintance like stated , then a simple piston ring and gaskets ..

I've never had a gas engine simply cease to work and never wake up again. That's not to say it doesn't happen, but for the most part I get bored and upgrade or loose interest before my engines quit - so that says something I guess.

50+ easy gallons if maintained right.....and even then the entire engine is destroyed, piston ring usually or worst case top end at a wooping $50 costs

Wow.. 50+ gallons , I'm sick and tired of nitro engines, endless frustration of tuning, replace conrod and bearings. the nitro engines and nitro fuel ain't cheap too.. I think it's time for me to migrate to petrol! . Thank you guys for your help.

I know Nitro sucks, like the guy that spent 10 years working for Radio control car action doing reviews. One day he tested a 1/5th scale MCD petrol car and the next day he quit because he liked the petrol cars so much he decided he would never do nitro again. Once you go gas you never go back (unless you run out of cash).
