Anyone know how to charge the Tx Lipos via a 12 volt charging system? Thanks.

I am not familiar with the LiPos being used in the 12Z/14Z, but I have LiPos in all my transmitters (8AUPS, 9CAP, JR 8103, JR 9303). The TRUERC 3cell LiPo packs have Balancing Taps and I use my FMA CellPro 4S to charge the packs. The same is true for my Evo 2cell LiPo Rx packs. The Common Sense 3cell LiPo Tx packs are charged with an AstroFlight 109 charger or a Triton 2 charger as they do not have Balancing Taps. The same is true for the 2cell LithIon Rx batteries I have from Troybuilt.

All these chargers run off 12v DC. In the case of the Tx packs, I remove them from the Tx.

The Futaba CR-2500 Battery charger is mentioned in the T12Z manual. It comes with both alligator clips and a cigarette lighter connector.

You have a few choices, the cr2500 is one very expensive one. Second is get a ac adapter for you car , just a few quid. The best and last is the Lenmar mach 1 charger or something like it. Here is a review http://www.steves-digicams.com/2001_reviews/mach1.html
I just checked and you can get them in the us for $25 and free shipping. not sure about Blighty.
The futaba battery is interchangeable with the Sony np-f570 camcorder battery which I use as a spare. Any charger capable of charging that series camcorder battery will work. The Lenmar comes with AC and DC hook ups.
Good Luck
Paul

Thank you for your replies. I found a charger (and Sony battery) on Amazon. The charger is £10 so won't break the bank!
