I think my heli is broke, look at the lower wash plate, is there supposed to be a gap here?
I can push it up like it slides into itself, but then it falls down and I lose control of the bird. I think I heard something like the plastic ones seperate and thats how they break, I think mine is broke? what do I do now???

JJ, that is a gonner! They are poorly made and after a few crashes or not, this happens. Yousee the upper parts slide down over the bottom and a cent tube from the top goes into the bottom and is heat expanded and flared out to hold those together. Pay the 6 bucks and get a new. A long time flier advises you to stay away from aluminum, it works your motors harder and shortens your fly times.

Good Luck JPee

The stock plastic ones are okay. I have flown the CNC swash for a year now without issue. Spend the cash, it will not work your motors harder and reduce flight time!

jjschwi. youre 2 links connecting the swashplate to the lower blades are on wrong. the long holes should be on the bottom. it also looks like the 2 pins are sheared off the lower rotor assembly. they should poke through the 2 links.

I was wondering about the 2 pins, I thought they once poked throught the links, and I wondered if I had them on wrong!! this thing is hosed up hahah!
ok, so all I need to do is get the new swash plate, and flip my links, and then re-level everything and I should be back in order right??
I think I will get the CNC swash, I like the look of it and it wont break again.

This is the blade CX2.

I love this site and you guy for helping in a matter of hours I am able to find out whats wrong and what I have to do to fix it!

THanks

Jjschwi ~

You'll get it back in order, it's all part of the learning experience. Ya can't fix or correct if ya don't know ! Pikester had a good eye to detail and caught your mix-ups along with your tired plastic swash. You'll love the CNC swash, very reliable and worth every penny. I've only heard of a couple getting bent in a crash. I believe Shane (Stump) was one of em' last year that had a bad crash that took one in.

Don't worry about the weight for now. Your CX2 is still light and later you can always lose weight in other places as you learn more about this heli, and what ya can do for weight elimination. I have all the CNC running up the shafts and mine is only a couple grams heavier than the stock weight of 227 grams....

Have fun with this little beast I know besides me and Stump, a few of us put our heart and souls in this little thing last year, before getting the bug for the bigger birds. I still love my CX2 and it still flies the skies today...

Take care,

~ Jeff

Don't listen to that Stump3r idot. He's a mental mess and he spends his days sitting in the corner drooling, petting his helicopter like a kitty.

LOL!!
Good morning Stump3r - Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Anyhow, you'll hear both sides of the debate about aluminum bits. My CX is still running the plastic swash. I think I did replace it once, but the second one is years old. You might try a drop of CA glue where they slide together. Be careful what you glue together, but if you squeeze the parts together you'll see how they are supposed to work. Just be careful and the worst you can do is mess up a swash that's already broken.

Guys like Stump3r will always have the bling and they know what works for them. I go the other way - I only replace the stock parts that don't work.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Until I change my mind.

Ahhhhh.....Mr. Solo.....My mentor...Lol.. I always new there was something odd with Shane. I just could never put my finger on it. No.....Kidding, of course ! With such a great character and good person in general it's to hard not to poke at Shane once in awhile.... We love ya Stump ! I don't care what the others say, or how much drool ya spill on the floor while your petting your heli....

Both you clowns take care,

~ Jeff

Geez solo once again your absolutely correct! You know that would explain the electrical glitch I had on the #4 way back when. Who would have thought drool and electronics don't go together!

I got the aluminum swash plate and I had to buy a new lower rotor as well, I didnt go with the aluminum lower roter, I think its a good idea to have a plastic part there, for weight and I also read somewhere that you want the piece to break otherwise it will transfer all the energy in a crash to other more critical areas.

I have installed all the parts and re-leveled my bird.

another note, I ordered myself the Goldslinger Flybar from USAhobby and I have to say right now my chopper has NEVER flown so good. I was actually able to hover the chopper set the remote down and watch it sit in mid air!!! I have never been able to do that!! this definatly has brought new enjoyment out of my helicopter!

thanks for everyones input!! I couldnt do it without the great people on this website!!
