http://www.goldeneagleaircraft.com/ responds with "Service unavailable". I really like my Talon XP (by far my favorite 50cc size toy), and i want to order a spare. If you know how to contact Chris (or if you have a NIB Talon you'd like to sell), please let me know.

Fly safe, Glover

Thanks Joe. It also now works for me... I should have been more patient with the internet.

But being a "kid at heart", if not in age; I just had to get another Talon on the way to my house. This morning when I returned home from my daily session of aimlessly poking holes in the sky (today with my Talon XP), I just had to get a backup Talon on the way to my house. (Sadly, I always "yard dart" my favorite toys! A Fusion X3D was my latest casuality just five days ago.)

I just placed an order online with Chris: and hopefully Gustav will not cause too long of a delay in shipment; as the importance of toy airplanes does not compare to the impact caused by a cat 4 hurricane. I hope everyhone remains safe from Gustav (and Hannah coming up the "space" coast later in the week, Glover.

Yep, and Chris assures me that the backup Talon is on its way. I flew my Talon again this morning. The weather was beautiful, and considering my limited skills; the Talon continues to please me.

DA-50, Futaba PCM RX, Smart-Fly kill switch, a 2S 2300mah A123 burried in each wing (a 4S 1500mah NiMh on ignition), HS-5955's on surfaces, HS225 on throttle.

My only surprise is that I needed to add nearly 9oz of balast in the ignition battery box area to get it to balance properly. I dug out space in the wing roots for the A123's (just behind the opening for the aileron servo wires), and should have placed them further forward. An additional truth is that only one A123 pack is really needed for the typical 6-8 flights that I make on any day. (I also added some plywood under the elevator servos to serparate them to make room for the "Y" that I placed back there. I might have saved some tail weight by making custom extentions... I can be lazy.)

Never the less I like the toy, and hope that I never have to build the backup. (The Talon reminds me a lot of a flying buddy's Hots that he powers with a DA-50.)

Fly safe, Glover
