Turn on the controller and receiver and see if the servos work. If they do it should be fine, but I recommend you get an electronic failsafe and a throttle return spring

No. Your engine should run anywhere from 230-260. Your cooling head, manifold, and exhaust will be very hot, so be cautious and wear gloves if you need to work with it.

By the way, if this is your first time running that car you should not have been going that fast. You need to let it just sit and idle with the wheels off the ground for at least 2-3 tanks. Then start driving slowly. Not properly breaking in your engine will drastically reduce its life.

During break in give it several minutes to cool down between each tank, but after that you can gas and go as much as you want, just make sure the engine is running rich enough so that it won't overheat. Hope your run tomorrow goes better. I'm taking a run to the track tomorrow with a friend just for a practice day. Finally give my hyper 7 some real use.

u can always just splice the wires directly from the batteries. only thing is that it will always be on, just unplug it to turn the power off.
