Ok, so I have the Zen 26cc (G260RC) and would like to kick it up a notch...just seems that stock its not pushing like I want it to..

i would like 3.5hp or higher, but want to keep it under $150 if possible.

I have been looking on DDM, but my ignorance gets the best of me sometimes and I cant decide which route to go.

I am highly considering this: http://www.davesmotors.com/store/product1269.html but should I use the stuffed crank or just the 2mm crank?

Or should I go with the GP290 kit http://www.davesmotors.com/store/product1268.html?

or is there something better that I'm not seeing.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I'm shocked that the stock Zen isn't enough for you. You sure your tune is all it could be?

With any of those mods ,you will not notice that dramatic improvement over the Zen 26cc ,it's already a beast if tuned correctly .
But if you have not done this already ,do the following ,it's the cheapest way to see the biggest gain in performance other then a good tuned pipe.

Swap your carb out to the 813 with modified shaft ,if your clutch is stock ,change it to an adjustable clutch ie.( elcon ,lauterbacher FG ) adjustable clutch.
If you don't wanna spend the money on one of those ,at least pick up the HPI Hi response clutch kit w/ spring .

Now take your time and adjust the 813 accordingly and you will see a much better performance gain over anyone of those cheaper kits ,for about half the cost.

Good luck

Back cap or Red cap. The Red cap is rated @3.9 hp. Black cap @3.25 hp.

Yes I have a Jetpro, and its in a KM baja

I'm sure its not the tune..and I even took it the other day to a small engine repair shop to be sure that the tune was as good as it could be.

I guess I should have listed the car and mods in my first post, but here it is. Its in a KM baja, Jetpro pipe, HPI clutch with 8k rpm spring, 8mm spark plug wire, Vertigo Diff locker..Since I installed the pipe and and spark plug wire it will slightly lift the front end even with the RR Speed set gears...but me being an occasional crack head for power, I want more.

Now in response to Pro5thScaleDistributors, I had thought about the 813 carb, but have heard many mixed reviews. But now with another positive suggestion towards it, would it be a good idea to combine it with either the 30.5cc kit, or the GP290 kit? I think with the power gain from both would suffice my ever growing want for more power.

Have you considered oneill bros 28.5cc kit with stuffed crank. The 30.5 with 2mm stroker will rev lower as it has a longer stroke. In my quest for power I got a reed ported 28.5 from oneills which has the ported cases too...truly a power house combined with unsilenced jetpro, 668A walbro and DDM 7500 clutch spring...my FG baja smokes my buddies hpi baja with the esp290 and I can wheelie at will. Another option would be oneills race ported 260...6hp+ which I may try next as it's super torquey from 10000rpm.

Are you referencing Zenoah, or CY engines? Your quoted figures are incorrect for both.
