Status: offline 		I have been doing some research on Canadian Shermans as I anxiously await the release of a VVS Sherman tank in 1/16 scale

We hear so much about the German multiple kills of Allied tanks, I though I would pass this along as an interesting flip of the coin

June 9th, 3 days after the landing in Normandy a Firefly with the 1st Hussars tank Battalion was defending a bridgehead. Six Panthers from the 12th SS attacked and penetrated the defenses. A single firefly knocked out Five panthers with five shots.

No wonder the Allies started trying to hide the long bbl Fireflies from German Gunners. They were obviously the biggest threat the German armor faced.

Status: online 		When i bought my Tam Sherman I decided to model a Canadian Firelfy, I bought the book South Albertas - A Canadian Regiment at War to see how a Canadian firefly looked and also to read the stories. Highly recommended book, lotsa pics and stories. Too bad the US didn't build the 17 pdr under license and install it in all the shermans.
