Status: offline 		It really gets me mad when people talk crap about Himoto when they have never had one I was in General Discussions and this dude was dissing Himoto It really ticks me off they should have one before they give people wrong info.

Status: offline 		LOL, its funny, one thing about this hobby is there are alot of haters out there, i bet i have an himoto that would smoke whatever he has but people have nothing better to do besides make rude and bad comments, if these people put as much time into positive comments and help could you imagine what a great forum/world we would have

Everyone is intitled to their own opinion but alot of people will bash just because its the "thing to do"

Dont take it to heart and just realize where it comes from.

Status: offline 		HIMOTO is just as good as anyother company it all depneds on what you like. Ive heard people smack talk one truck over another and dont like this truck or that . Its going to happen no matter what rc you have. So dont sweat it bro its happens everywhere and in everything. One day hell open his eyes to just how good HIMOTO is and HE WILL LET THE REVOLUTION MOVE HIM

Status: offline 		well I was talking about the rxb-1 in 1/8th buggy and people automaticly thought it was himoto's version of a hurricane...granted I like the torpeda but the rxb-1 is a far better buggy.. anyways then he started talking about how hard parts are to get...short end to this story most of the people on here that think you have to spend a small fortune on a rc will think that himoto stinks....well thats until they get beat by one....lol

Status: offline 		I've come across the same problem for losi owners. They call me an idiot cause when i bought my truck i bought replacement parts right away but for the same amount as they spent i've modified my truck and have enough parts on hand to fix almost anything that brakes right away. So i say let them talk I'll stick with Himoto. How can you complain when i can get parts shipped from Eddie in less then a week.

Status: offline 		This is an issue that will never go away. This is a hot topic with all rc brands. If you ask a Traxxas person what's the best brand out there they will say traxxas. The same goes for all brands. The beautiful thing about Himoto is we get to have the same fun bashing and jumping things as the other brands but only at a fraction of the cost. Sometimes more money is not always better.

Status: offline 		They can say himoto sucks all they want I own redcats,losi,schumacer and himoto I know for a fact that my vipers are built way better than a xxx nt and the rascal and all of my redcats. I've talked to friends that have traxxas and they hate the shock setups .so don't let that guy get to you man.

Status: offline 		I think its because of where most folks GET their knowledge of RC stuff.....
Most peeps I have met at the track have never HEARD of Himoto.
Where do they get their knowledge and experience? Mostly from the LHS folks and their Buddies at the track, or Magazines.
We all know that the LHS and Magazines will tell you to buy a "Quality Name Brand" car.
And Many people believe these "Quality Name Brand"cars are made in the USA!
And MANY (but not all) of the Track folks sincerely believe that you have to pay at least $600 for a competitive 1/8 car. (Starting Price).

The LHS folk are funny though. They KNOW all these cars are are made offshore, and once you really get to know them, most will admit that some of these "CLONE" cars aren't too bad, Lol. One LHS owner overheard me telling one of his customers (I was a customer too) that Traxxas engines are made in Korea. He later asked me not to Tell his customers that, because it could be bad for Business! (He didn't deny it was true though.)

Face it. We, here on RCUniverse, are RC nerds. We are independent thinkers who aggressively seek out Knowledge from many different sources.
We filter that Knowledge through highly developed Bull**** Detectors and our own experience. Then we Apply that knowledge with our own hands and brains. We have experienced the Design Flaws of our $200 cars, and SOME of us have moved on to the more expensive cars only to find that they too come with irritating Design flaws. This surprises some folks, and sends Other into Denial, Lol!

I am not saying that all the expensive cars are overpriced, or that all low $$$ cars are great bargains. What I AM saying is "Think for Yourself",
and "Buyer Beware". Don't Sweat the Haters. They were Bound to sneak onto RCU sooner or later, and it is a waste of your Time to speak with them.
The next time you are at the track or Bashing, don't TELL 'em,,,,, SHOW 'em what your car can do!

Status: offline 		All this comes with the territory of owning a product from a new company or not so well known company. It annoys me too. I have had redcats, own a himoto and I race for Caster Racing and I have heard it all. Until someone actually has the balls to think for themselves and not follow everyone else they will not know that these companies are actually pretty good. I love having stuff that is out of the norm. That is why my sig say Dont jump on the bandwagon..... Crush it!! LOL!

I couldnt agree with you more. Very well said. You find that at the track, when people see what your running they are less likly to confront you like they would on a forum. They actually see the product and can form an opinion from what they see. I love the die hards that look at the RXT and say, WOW, thats not what I thought it was.

I was one of them! Not really a die hard but I did not think the RXT would be as nice as it is. Even more after I drove it (with LPR's of course).

Of course Ill be the first one to admit that things like servos, electronics and motors need to be upgraded. But for the RTR the motor isnt all that bad. For 50.00 dollars you can turn it into a race ready motor with the XTM 6 port kit. To be honest I think that the himoto guys with the 1/8 scale are building a better RTR than most realize. IMO.

Brand loyalty seems to be out there and all of the RC makers know it. You will not only find people talking trash about ths HSP stuff (Redcat Himoto, or whatever), you ALSO will find high dollar RC fans talk trash about other high dollar RCs! I have seen Mugen fans hate on XRays, and Serpent fans hate on Mugen. And these are the most expnsive RCs on the market!

If it bothers you so much to see people talk bad about Himoto, it's best to let it go and not even read the thread People will talk trash about other brands all the time and there is no way to stop it. Traxxas fans will say trash about HPI. HPI fans will say trash about Losi. the cycle goes on. All you can do is let it go because either you know better or you are content with you RC. By responding in kind with more hate talk, this will either get the thread locked or you reported or both. RCU mods have been coming down very hard on trash talk, and if that thread is as bad as it seems, then I wager that thread will be locked and deleted soon.
