What digital servo would you recommend to replace this for a throttle servo. I have the stock Traxxas transmitter, and the stock Traxxas micro receiver. It is for a Revo. I also have a Duratrax fail safe.
Thanks

Hitec HS645 if you don't want to spend. ACE DS1313 if you want one of the best.

The HS-635 has a better response time than the slow HS-645, the 645 has a lot of torque thats just overkill for throttle and braking on a bone stock T-maxx. My brother's 12 pound Supermaxx is still using the stock Traxxas throttle servo even with its low torque rating.

HS-645 specs
Transit time: 0.24 sec/ 60 deg. @ 4.8V (0.20 sec/deg @ 6V)
Torque: 107 oz/in @ 4.8V](133 oz/in @ 6V)
Weight: 55.2g (1.94 oz)
Length: 38mm 1.5"
Width: 20mm 0.8"
Height: 41mm 1.6"

HS-635 specs
Specifications:
Transit time: 0.18 sec/ 60 deg. @ 4.8V (0.15 sec/deg @ 6V)
Torque: 69.4 oz/in @ 4.8V(83.3 oz/in @ 6V)
Weight: 50.0g (1.76 oz)
Length: 40.6mm 1.59"
Width: 19.8mm 0.77"
Height: 38.8mm 1.52"

Thanks, the reason for the replacement is that the throttle one is broke, so I mise well not buy another Traxxas. What is the best for the steering servo?
Oh ya, It also has to be available on tower hobbies, I have a 20$ off an order of 50$ or more, and I want to use it.

Since my SuperMaxx is 12 pounds I needed a servo with enough torque to stop on a dime. I went with the bigger brother of the HS-645, the HS-5645MG digital servo. My steering servo is the HSC-5997TG Speed: 0.14 sec/60° at 6.0V, 182 oz-in at 6V. Remember my Supermaxx weighs 12 pounds, so 164 oz-in of torque is perfect for your truck. It costs $54.99 at Tower Hobbies and its in stock.

HS-5645MG servo
Speed: 0.18 sec/60° at 6.0V
Torque: 164.2 oz-in at 6V

I do not really want to pay 60$ for a servo, I just got the car. Is there any on there that are a little cheaper?

Oh, I thought this was for a Maxx truck not a car. For an onroad car you want a fast transit time of .14 seconds or faster. I have never had an onroad car before, so I don't know what makes a good car servo.

Sorry!! I meant truck. Wrong terminology. Its is for a Traxxas Revo 3.3. SORRY!
I am thinking about replacing the steering and the throttle if the price is right, but the throttle has to go.
And maybe I have changed my mind about digital seeing the prices, it is just backyard basher, so I dont need the absolute top of the line.
Possibly something like this http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDEL9&P=SM
I am willing to spend a little more than that though.

51.00 oz-in Torque isn't enough for braking, the Hitec HS-635 is great for throttle and braking giving you 83 oz-in torque witha Speed of .15 @6Volts. The HS-5645MG really is the best servo for the money spent. Both these servos will set you back about $85 dollars, theres just not a better servo for the money.

If I were you I would get the HS-645MG for steering and the HS-635 for throttle & braking, I would only recommend a servo for steering if it has at least 100oz.in of torque for a bone stock maxx truck. The HS-645MG has 133 oz.in of torque which is just good enough, as for the HS-635, it has 86 oz.in torque for stopping your truck. I know I said that the HS-645MG might be too slow, but I just found out that my brother has been using this servo for his 12 pound Supermaxx truck. I thought he had a different steering servo, but anyway the HS-645 is the best servo with the highest torque rating for $34.99 with the HS-635 at $29.99. I recommend both the HS-645MG for steering and the HS-635 for throttle and braking.

Traxxas 2056, 80 oz inches, waterproof, and can be had for under $30. or you can get the 2075 for just under $40, waterproof, 125 oz/inches @ .16 sec.
