I'm going to order a set of corsair plans from Nick in the next day or two so I can start gathering the parts to build one this winter.

I plan on building the all wood kit (i.e. not with the glass fuse).

With that in mind do I need to order the glass belly pan or is that built into the wood wing, I assume the belly pan is only needed with the glass fuse?

I'll probably order the canopy and cowl from Nick also. Or is there a different source for those parts?

Thanks.

You won't need to order a belly pan if you build your own wood fuse. I don't know of another sorce for the cowl or canopy, although wou could probably use the parts from a Meister F4-U, as they are about the same size.

Rich,

I produce kits for this plane (full wood and wing kits). Howard is correct, if you build the full wood version, you will not need the belly pan. You WILL need the canopy and cowl from Nick. He is the only one who produces these parts for his plans. I do not know if Meister's parts are a close match with Ziroli's or not.

Rich,
You will love Mace's kits! I am building one of his B-17 kits right now and he did a super job on it.

Hans,

Send me some pics (either in the bones or when done with the plane).

Mace,
Will do.

Should be boned out in another couple of weeks. Just waiting on the wheels so she can stand on her own legs for the first time!

The plans, cowl, canopy and the wing radiators are on order.
