Status: offline 		I am putting a Phoenix F-20 together (nice ARF except for some of the hardware which I am replacing). I intend this bird to be a reasonably quick - but just a nice sport-plane. Thought it would be kool to have a smoke system but know little about hooking one up. So can anyone help me out? Questions: Does the jett .50 lend itself to this application?
What mods are required to the engine/muffler (i.e.pressure taps and
where)?
What parts needed? (valve. tank, smoke fluid)
Where to purcahse above?
Is it worth it (enough smoke)?
Anyone done it with a prop jet?

Also, re this airplane and the SJ .50. I will break the engine in on a smaller prop i.e. apc 9/7 but was planing on flying with a 10/6. Based on reading other remarks in the forums, I'm thinking maybe a 9/8 might be preferrable...or would they be about the same? Anyone have experience with this f-20 and engine combo and what prop?...............JT

Status: offline 		In a few words..... skip the smoke. It does not work well with the jett muffler.

Start off flying it with the 9x7.... work your way up to a larger prop you become familiar with the engine and aircraft.

The 10x6 will give you a very good balance of performance. The 9x8 will give you a bit more level flight speed.

If you are running fixed gear (stock setup), go with the 10x6.

Status: offline 		Thanks - then I will skip the smoke; less hassle anyway! I'll likely fly with the 10/6 prop since I am leaving the fixed gear on. No one flys very fast models in our club, so my f-20 will look pretty quick anyway. It's all relative!..............JT
