I've got a rustler with a 3.3 engine and having engine trouble. No matter what I do my engine idles way to high so the car takes off, and when I hit the brake the engine stalls. I thought it was a carburateor problem so I removed the carb and found the idle speed screw was stripped so I replaced the carb. Even with the new carb I'm having the same symptoms. I've already re-tuned to factory settings. I've checked the throttle linkage and the carb is NOT being closed when I hit the brake so thats not the reason for the engine cut off. I removed the engine and checked that the clutch was intake and the spring looked fine. Not sure what else to try, any suggestions?
