Third, I think you should finish your prototype then contact Heng Long and sell them the rights to it. They can plug out a ton of them at their usual low price (far lower than you could ever hope to sell at), you make a nice chunk of money for the rights.

Or HL will look at it and release their own "modified" version and you won't see anything.

Very interesting project Flamme, and I find the proposed prices honest, compared to the effort needed to make this model.
Some people don't even try to imagine how much work is needed to bring something like this on the market!
I also like the plan the offer of a kit without electronics to allow spare some money, and even because it will deserve El-mod or Tamiya guts.

Can't wait to see the prototype finished! Keep on the good work!

understand, verstehe, wakrimasu, panamai, ...but two big things in the way....(1) I'm on a retired budget and (2) I repair/rebuild clarinets, oboes, flutes, basoons etc but no electronics...If I put in my own electronics it would probably wind up being a satllite once I turned it on. I let Blitz do my electronics, so I know it's done right. 1;1 scale tanks, I will work myself. The churchill is a very good model and I'd love to have one, but

flamme, Elefant:

A few words of advice. Don't pay attention to those who would say anything about price. You will find no matter what
price you set it will always get a negative reaction from someone. What they fail to be able to grasp is ( and especially in a
situation such as this ) the creator of a unique item is an artist. An artist can ask whatever price they desire. If it dosen't
set well with someone that doesn't entitle that someone to deride the artist's price. Price, cost and value are arbitrary; as you say relative. Just as I spoke of regarding the Elefant itself, when it was first offered everyone turned their nose up at the cost.

I was going to say more about price whining but it isn't appropraite in this thread...

flamme good for you. Keep making what pleases you and and for those interested in buying your work good for them also.
Is your work resin for the greater part or plastic card stock? As much as your item appeals to me, I certainly would welcome non German armor I try to avoid resin anything save for perhaps turrets. Perhaps with an aluminium lower hull? I am interested but would like to learn more.

Jerry

Jerry is right. Instead of complaining on how much it costs, or how you're on a "retired budget" (we all have our limits) we should be complementing the hard work he has accomplished. Who knows, look where the Stug III came from!! This just might pave the way for a Churchill someday!!

Hi Flamme,

I think you will be better using Panzer III/IV tracks as the width and the look will be closer to original rather than using Tiger or Panther tracks. Keep up the good work

Cheers Ian

Hi. Pz3 and Pz4 are too small 2,6cm, Tiger 4cm
Churchill need 3,5cm track. For me, the nearest choice is the real metal panther tracks (3,3cm too) but to make a churchill you need more than one. If someone buy a model he can choose what he want.
I propose tiger tracks because you can found eyerywhere for a lower cost and can change broken pieces.
I prefer got largest tracks, instead of smallest like pz4
Hope you undestand

Count me in for a hull and suspension. Not sure about using Tiger or Panther tracks though. Wouldn't Panzer 3/4 tracks be closer to the correct width?

The design PZ"3/4 seems , but the dimension is wrong.
I think this tank must wear basket instead of of woman shoes

I would say bulldog tracks are close to the original design (size/shape but not the pads)... 4cm wide
