How about a scooter with an RC jet turbine on it? How about 85+ thrust? I'm not selling this thing. I just thought you guys would get a kick out of it.
Check it out here!

I wouldn't want that thing between my legs!

They never had those when I was a kid. I even missed out on the Big Wheel!

Surely someone else here remembers the jet-powered Toyota MR2? It was listed on eBay several times, but never sold.

Fancy that. :

Link? Sure. http://www2.msstate.edu/~sgn1/MR2/mod/turbine.htm

yeah, i remember the MR2. The chairman of compaq computers and his brother were building a turbine powered saturn. They showed it on dateline nbc about 5 months ago. It spooled up the turbine, and ran through a transfer case arrangement, and powered the wheels. It didnt use direct thrust like the mr2 "did" LOLOL. The saturn went for a lap around Willow Springs Raceway in CA, had a massive support staff and coverage.

Well, the guy from Compaq was hoping to market this as a viable form of transportation in the future, assuming he could sell the technology to the major automakers. Was really cool hearing a saturn coupe spin up to 14500 rpms, and hear the whiirrrrrrrrrr of the turbine as it acellerated away.

Jay Leno has a turbine powered motorcycle. They did a story about that on Ripleys believe it or not last year. That thing was scary. The designer/builder used a surplus huey turbine, and had never opened the thing up to full throttle. The test rider said it was slow getting accelleration to begin with, but the acelleration after that was awesome. It just kept getting stronger and stronger and stronger.
