ok so i was almost ready to go out and get the vxl but then i read a post on here about the slash and hear that it had alot of water proof parts on it and since i live in washington state and its known as the ever green state and how the heck would it stay green without a ton of rain?? anyways yea i was just woundering who has had experiences with the slash in the rain and just how much water can you run it through and how much have u put it through cause i dont wanna go through a puddling then see it smoldering lol, anyone actually ran one for a bit while it was raining out? also is the slash an upgraded vxl it kinda sounds like it but i could be wrong, are there any other waterproof cars out there besides the slash as it seems like since i am in a rainy area that the slash might be my best option other than paying to go to the covered rc track and paying, so yea was set for the vxl till i found the slash yesterday but give me some info on them thanks for the advice in advace

Every electric since the newer E-maxx is waterproof I think, basically the E-maxx, Slash, E-revo and probably anything they make in the future will be waterproof.

if you can afford it, go with the newest e-maxx, which is waterproof. its also 4wd, so slippery grass and mud wont be a problem either.

The trick with the new traxxas stuff is that its not completely waterproof. Its more water resistant. I've seen people run their slashes throught the puddles, and in the rain and it was fine. I certainly wouldn't leave it sitting in a puddle for any length of time, as for the rain. It should be fine.

Ive run mine through the sprinklers and full gutters no problem, and there is a YouTube vid of someone jumping his into a kiddie pool with no ill effects..... Its obviously not a submarine, but Ive yet to hear a report of anyone having one go down due to water....
