Hey guys, I'm restoring my old white parts RC10GT and converting to the Factory Team chassis (as well as removing all the old white parts and installing black). Ton of parts on order :-)

I understand I need a longer body now (Proline 3127) but none are available anywhere.

Can anyone recommend another body that will fit the RC10GT Factory Team sized chassis?

Thanks!

Also looking for the old RC10GT Tuning Guide that AE put out, I think it was part number 7190. (Mostly for nostalgia sakes)

Unavailable now, anyone have a PDF or copy?

Thanks!

Look around in here.  The gt manual is there. Right below it is a "setup guide".  When I opened it, they call it a complete tuning guide. Might be what you're looking for.  Worth a look.

Perfect fit for the short tube chassis/RTR or for the longer Factory Team/Blue flat chassis?

Thanks will look though.

Awesome thanks! Just ordered one from Tower with a Team sticker set to remove all those Thunder Tiger stickers lol.

How close is the body to the 6134 associated one? Direct copy/same mold? Looks pretty close.

-

By the way, a fellow on EBay makes vacuum formed copies of many bodies including the original 6131 body. However I got in touch with him and he does not have an original 6155 or 6134 to copy from.

If we can find an unpainted and uncut/trimmed 6155 or 6134, he an make a mold from it so future users can get replacement bodies. He also sends three replacement bodies to who ever donates the body to be copied.

Now if only we can find a virgin 6155 or 6134!

Cheers
Tim

18 cvr will drop right in a gt.  Same exaust, same clutch. You will have to shorten the crankshaft if it's a long shaft motor.  I had to cut mine. Not hard to do.  Buy spare tranny parts. You'll probably need them.

I just went through this myself...

The model you want is the OS Max 18CV-RX(S) Blue 11J (11860). It is a complete drop-in to an RC10GT. Everything bolts up.

http://www.osengines.com/engines/osmg2105.html

Here is a quote from that webpage:

-
General Applications: Good for all ready-to-run 1/10 scale cars & trucks that require a pull-start power plant. Especially good for off-road trucks. Differs from OSMG2102 in crankshaft length and carb type.
Special Features:

Dual-needle, 11J rotary carb
Recoil starter
Short crankshaft

Specific Vehicles:
RC10GT FT
Nitro TC3 RTR
Nitro TC3 RTR Plus

Will need these accessories:
ASCC8803 CLUTCH NUT RC10 GT
ASCC4312 CLUTCH NUT HTC3

Perfect for Associated RC10 GT Plus
-

You may have to trim your body to fit the large head heatsink and the new massive air cleaner (old air cleaner will not fit, the neck of the carb is larger on this model).

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXGGP8

Now I just need to sell my Associated .18 I bought first... :-(

You may need a cut off nut to shorten the crank, not nececary, but helpful.

Wow, am I going to be busy reading this Thread...111 pages, 2756 posts !?

Hello, first post, new to the forum. I have been searching for a long time for a Forum that has RECENT discussions on the RC10GT!

I bought mine used about 3 years ago. It's got a Novarossi M12 in it, and also came with an OS 15CV (still new in the box!), lots of wheels with tires, and other spare parts.

I ran it on and off for a year or so, until other things came up that took me away from the hobby. (wife, kids, job, etc.)

Fast forward to a week ago...A friend of mine asked if he knew where he could run his RC car.....an RC10GT!

Thats all it took. I knew that now I had someone to race around with, it would be alot more fun.

So I dug it out of the back of the closet. I could find ALL the pieces and parts I had except for ONE thing.....a clutch bell....

So, fifty bucks later, I have (on order) a 15T and a 17T bells, RPM front arms, RPM ball cups, pivot balls, castor blocks, and rear suspension blocks. I won an Ebay bid for a rear CF shock tower...

Yea, I only needed a clutch bell.   (I think I may have relapsed, is this the right place to be?)

Ok, I've babbled on long enough. I have LOTS of questions, but I will read through this thread to see if I can find some of the answers.

Well, maybe just one question...Is the Associated 7730 a decent torque pipe for my Novarossi M12? I will not spend $200 on a pipe! 20-50 bucks tops.

The pipe on it now doesn't even have a nipple for the fuel line, it's just shoved in a hole. I have no clue what pipe that is. He has it set up as a rear exaust.

Soooo I guess I will start with....Page One!

~Jeff
