The Farview R/C Flyers and the Tri County Wingsnappers would like to extend a fantastic opportunity for you to join with us in flying turbine powered and electric or piston powered ducted fan radio controlled model aircraft at the Grim Airpark in beautiful Hamburg Pennsylvania, (Perry Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania). Located just minutes off of Route 78, 61 and 222, our clubs will be having an AMA sanctioned jet rally on October 10, 11, and 12 from 9:00 am til dark. Food and beverage will be available all three days.

Our flying field is located at 375 Farview Road, Hamburg Pa 19526 (Perry Township) and has the following Radio Control user friendly amenities such as, an impact rolled 200' by 1800' grass runway, covered pavilion, aircraft hangar, kitchen facility, long secluded private drive and an abundance of parking as well as several thousand feet of flyover zones. This privately owned property is a state registered airfield and is one of the nicest flying sites in the northeast! All frequencies will be welcome for this three day event. Our field is very turbine friendly! Kingcats and Bobcats are welocme to fly off of this grass field!!

We will also be hosting the IMAA Rally of Giants in 2009 (Father's Day weekend in June '09)

Hope you can make it Ron, I think you'll like the airfield. I know it's a long drive for ya! Bring your Bobcat if you still have it! Kingcats and Bobcats work well off of our field!! Also, please talk Eric Bauer into coming up from Maryland too if you can and tell him to bring his Bandit !

Dave, thanks for posting the link to last year's Jamboree!! The photos still look great!

We're working on the hotel issue.I live 20-25 mins from the field,and am one of the cd's.I live in Fogelsville,Pa,and there are at least 4 hotels near my house at the intersection of 78,and rt 100.Holiday Inn,Hilton Garden Inn,HawthorneInn,Sleep Inn,and Comfort Inn,Lehigh valley west are close by.I will try to find more,and post.Also,my email is erudjord@ptd.net.Rick got it wrong.Cell # is 610-554-7455.That is the best way to reach me.

Stayed at the Holiday inn, cracker barrel X the street .If there is a problem its about 25/30 minutes from field .See if you can get set up a discount there.

This hotel is right next to the Reading Airport. Nice restaraunt in the airport ( Malibooz - name says it all ). Wings and beer - open till 2 in the morning. Easy access to Rte 222 towards the field.

If any of you have any interest in renting tents, we will rent tent space at 10' by 20' for $50. These tents actually measure 20' by 40'. I believe that we still have four openings for tent rentals.
