Brain, there is a rumor going around that Dominic pre paid for so many chicken dinners for next years event that the club now has enough money to pave the runway. Is there any truth to this or can you tell us your version of the story? I saw the way Dom was eyeing those baked potatos, he looked like he wanted to do you out of yours. By the way you never did answer my question of how many bags of potato chips does it take to go from Peabody to Hamburg.

Hi Brian, thanks for the kudos! I was looking forward to seeing you and Dom this year, no lie. I really enjoy your humor and energy! And now you got me craving those popcorn balls! Oh boy. I never heard of those things until Dom gave me one. Last year you told me how addicting the jet thing was, now you got me hooked on these stupid popcorn balls. My wife is at the market as I type looking for them. Popcorn balls. GEEEEEEEZZ!!!

Brian, you better get better glasses for next year. Rumor has it that Erik has another project in the works. Hehe.

Oh yes, you are welcome!

Hey Don
Unfortunately we may never know the potato chip to mile ratio for Dom...It seems he now thrives on DD Munchkins....I can tell you we go thru approx 48 munchkins an hour (although a few do go to me) the electric cattle prod did a great job of keeping him from hitting the rumble strips on the way home...so I was able to sleep much better ....LOL. Also I am sworn to secrecy on the number of chickens he ordered for next years BBQ... but if you notice the Dow has gone up considerably. Rumer has it. it is directly due to Dominics chicken order...
Got to go bandage my fingers....I lost a couple trying to keep Dom from taking my Baked potato....

B-

P.S. Jim glad you guys liked those popcorn balls. They are addicting...if you have trouble finding them give me a shout and I will get some heading your way via the friendly USPS guy

Alan,

I think that Erik is past the top secret warp speed phase. He is on to changing the time/space continuum. Actually, I heard Erik mumbling something about a matter-anti matter reactor of some such thing. He's headed out to Area 51 to investigate as we speak!

Brian, my wife got the balls (popcorn that is)! Between those and the large movie popcorn that I eat every week I think my intestines is going to go into overload! LOL!

Chris buddy,

First of all, thanks so much for driving over 6 hours to attend our event from Canada... Thanks so much for you kind words as well!! I'm so glad that you liked our venue and our grass runway. We think our fly-over zones are second to none!! And we'll do our best to make the grass the best that we can!! Our club members do their best to show that good 'ol Southeastern Berks County Pennsylvania hospitality.

You kicked ass with your smokin' BVM Kingcat and yellow BVM Aggressor III. Hope you can make it down here again, and yes by all means, please bring friends and family next time!! Great photos as well!! Thanks for sharing them with us!

We'll do this again!!
Rick

Thanks for the kind words Matt!!

BVM's Factory Team really put on a first class act!! Thanks so much for attending our event this past weekend in Hamburg and congratulations on winning Best Electric Jet with your BVM Electra. Please extend my thanks to Dustin and Bob for driving all the way up from Florida and taking time to fly with us. I regard BV as the best overall RC designer, craftsman and flyer in the world. We'll do it again next year! Remember to also spread the word about the IMAA's 2009 Rally of Giants that we will be hosting Father's Day weekend in June (18th - 21st). We'll be flying jets at the event. We would be honored to have you fly with us at the Rally in June!!

Thanks again for your outstanding flying!

Rick

Congrats Bob!!

BTW, That field looks awesome! I can't get over how short the grass is... it looks fantastic.

Sue and I will make it out there for next year and (Sorry Dom ) from the sound of it by reading these posts we MAY need to bring our own chicken and potatoes for a guaranteed meal.

BigBri, I'll bring 50 gallons of kero for ya as a 'back up' supply... that will get you through ONE afternoon... I hope.

Hey Mike!

Thanks for the Congratulations. I actually went through 7 gallons of Kero 50 ounces at a time. After the Maine mishap I bought a ShokJet from TBM.

The pictures of the field don't do it justice. We were up on a hill with nothing but scenic views around you. This field is proof positive that any jet can be flown off of grass if the field is well maintained.

Oh, and what a great bunch of guys Rick and Eric had for Staff. Everyone was very helpful, courteous and to me, encouraging in my efforts.

Maureen and I can't wait for next years' event. See you soon!
