I saw the listing for that on trade me some time ago
looking forward to see how it all goes.
i also had touble finding jet boat hulls when building mine. I am half way through the plug for a 1/4 scale jet sprint with plan to sell them but as some one else is closer there isnt going to be much point to finish it. demand isnt too high to have two manufactures of them.
hers a couple of pics of mine

hey your boat looks good is that a all wood boat ???? paint is very nice
i hope to start the moulding next week but hulls are going to prob be a month or two away yet

what pump is that you are runnng ??

yep its all wood.
just down loaded 50 odd photos from the net of the white pointer jet sprint boats that are made in gisborne and tried as best as i could to model it. thanks for the compliments on the paint. it was the first time i used a spray gun before there are a few little spots i can notice but most others dont.
the jet im using is from swashdrive. I have just taken the engine out of it at the moment for my thunderbolt build but hopefully have another soon. would love to come check it out some time. might have to wait till its running and ive got my new engine and can make a day of it at a pond

cheers
steve

i will have to get a photo of the bottom for you tomorrow. the camera batteies are flat.
i can tell you a litle bt about the bottom though.
it is a constant deadrise of 23 degrees. it doesnt have any planing strakes but it does have the chine strakes on the sides. the delta pad is rectangular the size of the jet unit foot print and then the triangle part goes 100mm past the mid length of the hull. it will all make sense when i post a pic for you.
from looking at the swashdrive website craig has got some more jet units in stock now. which reminds me i have to get one of his drive shafts from him. that is the biggest problem im having with it. will keep you posted.

cheers
steve

Heah Bentley
Awesome looking jet you got there ! and with countless amount of hrs would have gone into building it !
Looks more like a scott jet than a Hamilton jet.
But i can tell you from past exsperiances that multi stagged jets in this scale does not work so well.
Sure it will load the motor more but will not nessasarly flow any more water, no matter how much Hp you have.
You might also consider running an inlet grate as the smallest stone will be deadly with 3 stages.
I'm still making jets, here for the long haul Bro
Regards
Craig
