I need some help in getting my son, a 13 year old a little more challenge in 3-d. He has been flying for 2 years and has already outclassed me and I have been going for 33 years. The boy has got what I would say is rare talent. He was honored by being invited to compete in the Youth Masters at Triple Tree this year and he did pretty good for his first competition. My problem is that he has gone beyond my teachings and ability. I am at a loss as what to get him to fly next. His favorite plane was called a Mo-Jo, a profile with a carbon-fiber rod in the fuse. A flat spin was awesome untill he couldn't pull out of one. No more Mo-Jo. I have him a 33% Caps but these things cost so much to get them right. Just the servos and engine will take my budget to the red for a long time. What I would like is a Good advanced 3-D plane that is fairly cheap,100-300 range, easy enough for him to build, and powered by something from a 40-90 sized engine. I've always been a sport flier and am lost in 3-D, any help you give would be great.

Hi Jim,
You need to pose this question to Mike McConville or Don Sczur. This guy hasn't posted since July, 2006. They are more than qualified to answer you question. Congratulations with you son.
