Has any put the vx-18 engine in the redcat's lighting?


i just ordered the engine from redcat and didnt even think if the
car is strong enough which im sure it is but not positive.

oh yeah i have an os 18 in my lightning. the car is plenty strong to take any 18 you want to put in there.

i have the same vx 16 on my 2 lightning but 2 sh.18 on my 2 volcanos (this where stock volcanos, no upgrades) intill now, enjoy them both puttin the lightnings up for the winter..

$5 more and you can get the sh.18 which is a better quality than the VX so i believe thats whats im going to go for.

the car will hold up to a sh.18 or vx.18....the sh will be more powerfull....however I dont think the car would hold up to a os tz .18....but then again not many will

Ya there is a grub screw on the tranny that you tighten, and it makes it shift later, or not at all. Its the one thats off center.
