Status: offline 		there are groves on the shaft, which you squeeze the prop over. Sits pretty tight on the original shaft.
If you want to go custom, say stainless because you run it in salt water... You can just epoxi it on

Status: offline 		? for the knowledgeable boaters. When putting the jet body in, should the grate area be first gooped in or should the shute area be put in. I can't walk and chew gum. Hope you follow me on this as goop sets up fairly fast and with 2 areas that need the goop, doing equal justice to both comes into play. Thanks!

Status: offline 		doing a rebuild of my original jetboat, as well as building a new one! I ended up buying two remote controls, as I want someone to race against when out... But the usual thing is, that your mates just don't have a jet boat... so I thought, why the heck not build another one?

I've ordered a couple more of the 2200mah Nano tech batteries, they are great for this application I reckon My idea is to run 2 batteries in each boat, as 3S2P, having one battery on each side.

They've also been ordered Reason I am trying these is simple, it's the same internals as in my 180amp ESC, which I really like!!

In the new boat, i'm going to re-use some, of not most of the original r/c boxes and mounts. I've managed to modify the servo a bit, and with a few modifications of the mount, it fits perfectly... The Radio box might have the Rx in it, I'm not sure yet, it's pretty bulky... Other than that, I've finished the sleeve mod on the new jet drive, it came up pretty good.

I did think of putting the bigger Graupner drive into one of my boats, but that'd hardly make it fair when racing, so the idea got put on the shelf (I'm certainly going to do that one day )

Status: offline 		ahhhh $h.... I used shoe glue on the boat, thinking it was the ducks nuts... ehm, no! Two hulls are sitting in the living room melting away... I pray that the plastic will harden up...

Status: offline 		Oh crap! Both hulls? Sounds like it was some powerful stuff. Maybe it will set up. Yeah, goop would have been the way to go if you could have located some. Or silicone caulking. I used 2 part 'plastic' epoxy on my last build, since I don't plan to remove it again.

So, over night, the plastic hardened... GREAT! It's a bit "wonky" where it melted, one hull (of course the old one...) isn't too badly affected on the bottom... The other boat has a raised section, pics to come later, it will explain what I'm on about
I started planning out the old hull, where to put the new ESC and how to mount the servo again. Test with placing the battery in different spots, showed that the battery (2.2ah 3S Nanotec) did the best, being placed right in front of the motor, so it will go back there...
I found out that the Turnigy Marine ESC had slightly larger bullet connectors than the motors *sigh* so I'll have to get new connectors for that now, getting close now though
About time too, coz we've got MASSIVE amounts of rain water rushing down the creeks, time to get the current riding going again

Status: offline 		I bought a pair of lipos 1350 Gen aces and will saddle pack in 2S is a 4400 from Steve from downunder Sicrc. Steve is moving close to you and has jet hulls that you have to put together, so putting equipment in will be a snap. He has 2 or 3 colors. Sicrc Boat Mods. I got this info from RCGroups. They have a huge thread on jet boats.Hope it isn't to out of shape!

Shoo Goo is what you really wanted.

Another option that I use is from Spotlight - Polyurathane glue.  Works a treat and is about $8 a bottle vs about $20 at bunnings.

the 2 white ones have been gutted and all parts ready to go back in, yellow one is gutted but no parts orderd for it yet.

Been too lazy to finish building them, hopefully ill get these built up before summer starts up, also wanna convert the reef racer to brushless.

I think the boats will run OK, but I'm concerned that air will be a problem, due to turbulence... Only trial will show I guess

SicRC is in Maryborough from memory, looking at his eBay profile. I've bought from him before, but get it posted still.

Same electronics new everything else and fitting some mesh to keep the pebbles out.

1. Modified jet drive. Smoothed extended intake, brass sleeve, custom balanced 6 screw coupler, custom drive shaft, custom drive cog and custom impeller to suit plus spare impeller. No steer nozzle!

Custom couplers (machined by me NOT Nqd's redrilled) 2.3mm-3.2mm x 2 and 3.2mm-3mm x 1

ALL SOLD!
