I have found a cheaper, replacement for the DF blades!
These durable rotors have better strength and also greatly increase performance.
With a thicker design and construction make these rotors resistant to striking the
airframe which often results in damage to the airframe and rotor.

Here is an image of the current DF Blades:

DFi have done very well with these rotors and are far more better than the standard ones but i
am looking to improve them further!

Here is the new set of rotors i have on order:

* Length from mounting point to tip 153mm

* Width at widest point 24.5mm

* Width at narrowest point 13.50mm

* Mounting hole width 2mm

* Thickness at mounting point 1mm

These rotors have a newly designed airfoil and increased surface area to provide more lift and efficiency.
They also have less flexiblity which result in crisper, precise throttle response.

Once i have recieved them and made a centre cross joint to join the two halfs i'll post a review.

i know even without having them in my hand that i will maybe have to mod the length but all will come into light..

after drilling out the pilot holes i added the blades to the Main Gear

this is the full set showing it folded up in storage state

i have quickly made up these cross plates to help with strength.

i will only know if these rotors will work once i have it in flight. (waiting for weather to sort its self out first)
i feel they will not have as much pitch and will poss shatter quicker on impact.

So, how did they fly? Where did you find the blades? They look great!

hi.

i found the blades on ebay!

i have done a few flights with these blades but i found that they dont produce enough lift and flight times were cut by about 5-6 mins. i did try installing a tilted centre piece to give them more of an angle but it still drained the power.

although they do look cool, i wouldnt advise them.
plus they shatter easier!

thanks.
