I picked up a P51 plane made by Sig over the weeekend at a swap meet. Looks pretty rough but i thought I'd try to bring her back to life. Wingspan is 49 &1/2 " and the wing is secured by 2 dowels and rubber bands. It's covered to look like a reno racer type plane. Ok, Now the questions...
What size engine does this plane call for and what combos are you guys using?
What is the recommended CG and is it correct?
How does this plane fly?

Thanks in advance
Jerry

Not familiar with that kit. However, I wonder if that is the Herr mfg P-51 bought by Sig. Check the WS and see if it is 42". If it is I bet it is the Herr. I have the plans for it here, it shows the CG right on the main spar. IT calls for a .090 size engine, but I had an OS.15 I had planned on putting in it.

If that's not it, check with Sig at www.sigmfg.com.

It has the classic Sig stamping and labeling when i look in the interior of the fuselage. Bottom of the cockpit floor reads Sig Mustang. The wingspan is exactly 49" and the length from the firewall back is 36". Guessing I would say the plane is about 10 years old.

Thanks you for the help. I'm thinking it's probably a .25 size

Jerry
