Byrons Gen 2 fuel
I still have a little bit of first gen stuff and gonna need to switch soon . But , I`ve been hearing a lot of racers I race with having problems since they switched to Gen 2 . Some only getting 2-3 gallons until the engine blows which looks like most were rod going out . This has happened to several different engines and these guy know what they are doing and had no problems at all when running the first gen fuel .
Anyone having any problems with this stuff ? I`m gonna be buying two new engines and really thinking about switching fuels . I thought about going back to O`Donnell fuel but hear great things about Tilted fuel and Nitrotane .

Although I do see alot of guys using that byrons fuel, I havn't heard anything bad about it yet though.

I switched from Gen1 to Gen 2 this season. I actually like it better. It seems to hold a tune better, and runs a little cooler. Actually I switched back to Gen 1 last week for practice to use up what I had left, and the motor ran lousy! So I like it!

+1 Definately tunes great and runs a bit cooler. I forgot to mention that I switched from sidewinder 30% world champ and have not had any problems.

I`m asking for people that have used the Gen 2 to chime in . If you take the proper steps you can change fuels with no problems .

whats up fellow Illinois-resident? haha
I switched from gen 1 to the gen 2 this year. My RB has about a gallon and a half of the new fuel and no problems yet.
So far so good, tunes easily. I get good run times as well.

I learned to stop switching fuel if what your using is working good, I've found my fav fuel that my engines last a long time and I can tune easy. I won't switch unless I can't find it or they stop making it.
Although I do see alot of guys using that byrons fuel, I havn't heard anything bad about it yet though.

Gen 2 25% here. 2 OS V-SPECS with approximately 4 gallons through each. Still going strong. Maybe these guys "dont" really know what they are doing? I see nothing but good responses on this thread.

Well if they didn`t know what they are doing they would of had problems when running O`Donnell and Byron Gen 1 fuels . These are seasoned racers and know how to tune engines . This isn`t just 2-4 people having problems .

RE: Byrons Gen 2 fuel
since the byron's runs noticeably cooler a lot of people that tune to temps are actually going past the sweet spot and running a bit lean, its been happening since it came out. the stuff literally takes 20c or more off your normal temps. whatever fuel you were running, the first tank will be all boggy rich and you will end up about 1/4-1/2 turn leaner with cooler temps!! its great stuff, i've been running it about 8 months now in 5 different motors and have never had an issue. only issue i had was getting another fuel when the prices went up and that fuel was running my motor way too hot, like 300c+ and even hit 400c+ on a muddy day, i couldn't throw that stuff far enough away. since i went back i can't lean past 230c.

I asked for you at the Hobbytown over here in Rockford Dawman, he hasn't had any customer complaints and he has sold somewhere in the park of like 300-400 gallons. I have heard rumors, but no one I personally knew has had a problem yet. If I were you I'd give it a shot. Its been great for me.
If you're really worried about it, run Tilted.
