That's rather interesting.  I know that Feng had been in touch with IMPACT but not sure if there has been anything done on aftermarket parts.  After seeing his model up close again last week, I don't think you'll need any replacement track or suspension parts.  That track costs more than what Hooben's FO kit will run!

A Hooben Merkava? WHICH VERSION? Hope its a 4, but would be happy with a 3.

'Bout time someone recognised the Israeli contribution... when will be see Sherman M50/M51 conversion sets? Probably ~never~, even if they abound in 1/35 scale.

Hi to all, I e-mailed Hooben for a price on the T-55 tank yesterday and got a reply from them. The kit will run about $146 and RTR is $220. thats provided that my currency conversion was correct. I got the price list from them in Excel spread sheet format and thus cannot upload this file. Maybe someone can verify this. The price in their currency is 1,000 CNY (for the kit) and 1,500 CNY for the RTR.
I'm getting mine soon!!

Your conversion is correct, but it sounds a little low to me. Did they happen to give you a date on it being released?

you are correct 1000 CNY = $146.334 and 1500 CNY = $219.500 . Kit form is the way to go .

Unless they've changed their thinking over the last month, its only offered as a kit - no RTR version is being offered.

Tina says that as of right now only the "ARTR" or Almost Ready To Run version is available. She says "It is ok now". Her answer to my questioning the said release month of June. Hope this helps. As far as I can decypher her answer it sounds like it's available now.

Ummm this is July. So either they are already late( I'm assuming no one has one yet) or
get set for next summer's release...

I inquired about the release date back in April and she had told me that it would be available in June. Well, June passed and I figured I'd give 'em a shout. So , it should be available now. I'm going to try and place an order and see what happens.

Asked by email a couple of hours ago and got an answer (below). Attached is the pricing given which didn't include shipping. Seems like the ARTR can be ordered already. There is mention of a B and C series. Looks like the B series is the way to go. Not cheap IMHO when you add up the cost of a DMD/MFU and radio. Still want it anyway Let us know what happens, dima5.

Thank you for your letter.
Now I send the price to you see file.
We can only suppply ARTR.
Best regards
Tina

Well, we've all seen the pictures and the price(s) has been given, now all we need is some feedback from some tankers on "The Beast" and we're set!

ROLF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! B series refers to ArkModel's model ship line. I guess if you want to pay $$$, perhaps he'll make a custom hull for you.

Based on my last conversation a month ago at the Shanghai Model Expo, their owner wasn't planning to offer a RTR "toy" like Heng Long. Things change but lets hope the electronics are ready. I had been asking to release a kit for those of us who would be interested in some of the existing systems. I'll be back in Hangzhou end of the week & will follow up with Feng since he knows I was interested in getting the kit. As they say... time will tell.

Well, with a Sherman, a HL Panther and maybe a Tamiya KV-2 to be released I'm all tapped out for the rest of the year ... and then some!

Maybe next year.

That's more like it. I thought it would be in the $500.00 to $600.00 dollar range.

NOW how many are getting theirs today?

What about the electronics? Are they custom built or just a Tamiya dmd/mfu of some sort?
