? dunno if this was an answer to my post, but the Schulze has one "big" output for nicd and nimh (handles 10 li-po in series)

and one "small" for up to (if I remember right) 6cells nimh or nicd, my old 530 also charged li-po, li-mg on the small output.

Personally, I'm having problems with my Triton. When cycling NIMH it says it gets 1200 mA and only put in 1000 mA. This is on 5 cycles and each cycle reports getting more out than the previous cycle put in.

On a 1100 NiCd pack I set it for .2A charge, peak detect .10mV, 360 minutes max charge. After the 6 hours had expired it gave me a warning "time exceeded" but with a charge of around 550 Mah.

I will say other times it seems to charge fine. But I haven't found the majic yet. So I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Also, it's charge rate is not reported properly. Measuring it with 3 different ammeters, it's indicates N mA and I read 1.10N to 1.15N. It's off by 10 to 15%.

well I ended up buying the Dymond Super Turbo used from a friend. He sold me his ST, and he bought the triton. He flys an electric plane. I have no intention of getting into using Li-Po. So that feature really didn't interest me.

It would be nice if the ST would run thru more than 1 cycle though. but since I bought it used and caught a deal I bought the ST.

But if I was buying new, I would probably get the Triton, just because of the 5 cycle feature, and the Li-Po ablitity. Because in price, their only around $25.00 differance when new.

While I don't doubt that the Shulze is a fine unit, the reason I purchased a Triton was simply that I know Great Planes will quickly take care of any potential problems I might have with the unit. Can the same be said of the Shulze? In Europe, probably. In the United States, probably not.

Until Shulze mass-markets their chargers here in the United States, I will not purchase one for fear that something may go wrong with it.

my 2 cents...

Sailor,

You make a very good point. Listening to peoples' two cents here is how I make many of my purchasing decisions.

Over the years I have purchased many items that were either "cottage industry," and/or overseas production. When they go, usually it's gone for good. It's a gamble that sometimes works well.

Schulze, on the other hand, is wonderful with their support. I have emailed them with questions and comments and have received quick responses. USA support for the product is available through ICARE-RC: www.icare-rc.com They currently will provide an upgrade to the charger software (for a fee - $30.00).

All said I like the German products, but will sooner or later try out the Triton due to all the positive comments and great support from everyone here at RCU.

Here is one that looks like a replacement.
SUB-MINI PC MOUNT PUSHBUTTON
CAT# PB-126

Oh well, I ordered a bunch of those switches for my Dymond Super Charger and they are very much not a replacement. Anyone need about 20 micro switches?

The switch in the Turbo is about 4 times larger. The picture below shows the PC board with the installed switch assemblies. The bag just below is contains 20 of the PB-126 switches. The PB-126 switch is about .24" square. The switch in the Turbo appears to be about .5" square.

I have 20 micro switches, CAT #PB-126 for sale -- my cost was $11.00 (included shipping). Your cost is $8.00 -- free 1st class shipping to US.
