Does anyone know where to get the external glow plug module. Having the head for your glow ignitor mounted somewhere other than atop the engine is a great idea.

Does it work with all engines, all glowplugs? I was going to get it to use on my lst2 b.c it has the Bounty Hunter body and it would make it so i do not have to remove the body and put it back on everytime i run it. it seems like a great idea.

As usual you can find the part on Ebay, but I haven't looked anywhere else:

<link removed>

It should work with any glow plug because it is nothing more than an extension cord for the glow igniter. As long as the connection is complete, it will heat the glow plug via the wire just fine. Some people do not like using the extensions, but I have not had any problem starting the engine using mine.

Edit: Linking to auctions in this manner is not allowed per RCU Community Rules.

The SC8 is nice. But why are the bodies so fricking expensive?

They are Awesome looking bodies and the expensive ones are prepainted and stickered i think. Ive seen a few unfinished ones for under $40 about same as monster trucks
AlphaMale- So are the badlands you run buggy size?, do they look roughly the same size, tall, as stock- just not scale looking? The ones from the ebay link are a great price!

AH HA! So this is where the SC8 thread is!! .

Got one last week. Bellow are some picts of it from before I went to the track and broke the front bumper due to it "lawn darting". Have to play with the rear shock oil to keep it from bucking so far forward coming off of the jumps at my local track.

My only complaint is that the tires are so small that you cant correct it in the air as well as you can a buggy. I'm also using my OFNA starter box because the starter wand is made from soft wood

Looks like the SC8 body would work on the 3.3 chassis on a slayer, the chassis would make it handle better and you wouldn't be losing scale looks.

The SC8 body is wayyy big for the slayer But could be made to fit the revo if you trim the wheel wells a little, My brother has both and We tried, The Slayer is way to small and it looks really disproportionate FWIW

Losifeind- Nice truck- I love the bullydog - let us know how its doing for you-

Thanks! Last nite I orderd a replacement parts that I needed to fix the front end. I also orderd RC8T front and rear braces, dynamite max life shoes, 1.1 clutch springs, and skid plates. The chassis has alot of flex. Going to see what I can do to remedy some of the flex.

I'm also running a JP3 pipe that is loud .

Over all i like the truck so much I'm selling my 8ight . I'm keeping the JPX .28 out of the 8ight though and it will be going in the SC8 soon. If thats too much power I might get the JPX .21. I really like the Jammin engines. They have tons of power and are way easy to tune. But they are super tite and it takes for ever to get broken in.

^^^^ oops. sorry to get anyones hopes up. Looks like the Pro Comp ed. SC8 is the newest body style they are adding to their line up. They just brought on Travis Coyne from CORR on as a new sponsored driver for a new body style. On that note...again...sorry.... but I wonder if they will be adding anymore new ones. Id love to see a Johnny Greaves monster energy or Jeremy McGrath monster energy body style. Itd be nice to see a company like pro line or j concepts to come out with aftermarket scal bodies with pro designed gaphic kits/sticker kits.

Yes, they are buggy wheels/tires and they are basically the same size as stock. The rubber tread is taller, but not that much. I'll tell you what though, they hook up and rip the ground - dirt and grass alike! As a matter of a fact, I just installed some 1:8 scale conversion hubs on my Slash, so that I can run the badlands copies on that truck, too. THEY ARE AWESOME.

Don't mind the dirt....I was driving today.

Thanks. Just scored a used alluminum Factory Team front top plate for $7 off the bay, as well as a used Factory Team turnbucle set for $15 with the arms and end still attached. Got some Dymanite Hard alluminum shoes in the mail a few days ago too.

I compared my neighbors SC8 to my Revo 3.3, and I agree, it would be off by too much.. I was hoping I could go the cheap route and turn the 3.3 into a extended Slayer w/SC8 lid, but doesn't look like that's gonna happen - My BL Slash has been hella fun but 4wd would be killer!

Ground Pounders RC is where it's at!!
