im looking to buy a electric ST, mostly for bashing on pavement, grass, dirt and some track use but not for hardcore racing. Im trying to decide between the losi xxx-t and the rc10t3 by team associated. My LHS stocks both, and stocks its hopups. First can anyone tell me approx Stock speed of both trucks? also id like to know which is the best for my needs. Is the xxx-t worth the extra 50 bux? Plz tell me the ups and downs of each car.

Thnx for your time.

I will try to be fair, I have the xxx-t rtr and love it. I do mostly bashing around the house and at work. 2 of my co-workers have the t3 rtr. The xxx-t will be a little quicker in stock form because of the 19t motor. It also comes with bearings where the t3 uses bushings. The turn buckles seem to be a little thicker also. I have upgraded everything to graphite as I have broken parts. For me if I would have to buy a new one I would still chose the Losi. If you get a chance check out my pictures in the photo gallery section under cars...

If you are going RTR vs. RTR go with the Losi. It comes better equipped and has a much better radio.

If you are going to build a kit go with the T3. Everything that I've read about it says that it's a stronger truck (I also own a T3, but don't have much time on it since I like my B3 better at the track). The T3 also has a simpler design and is easier to work on than the Losi.

My suggestion would be to get a T3 factory kit, purchase a radio/ESC combo and add on a stock class motor. If you look around you could put this combo together for just about the same price as the Losi (though you would have to build it).

It would be faster, have better parts and would satisfy all of your needs. Just a thought.

At our local track here, the Losi XXX-T trucks consistently beat the Associated trucks in the stock classes. I feel the Losi is a bit easier to set up to get it driving and handling the way you want it.
However, the Associated is also a fine truck, and I don't think you would be sorry either way. Just my $0.02.

if you are looking at RTR's, the xxx-t is the way to go. it has a 19- turn motor right off the bat, and a speed controller that can handle a 15 turn motor. it already comes with top quality shocks that are fully adjustable.
Also i was asking the same question at my local hobby store helper. he said that he had tossed his car 20 ft in the air and it still survived with only a broken a arm. (but he is stupid enough to do that in the first place).

Overall i would get the xxx-t

i would defenitley go with the losi. its just an all around better car. plus Losi hooks you up with stock electronics and radio.
