I am sick of crashing my balsa profiles and want to try my hand at foam electric.

I fly slow and low. A list of my gear (so far)

Hitec micro receiver and sub micro servos

Hacker A20L

Castle Phoenix 25 ESC

Falcon 1800 lipo

Charger ??? Looking for a decent 3 cell lipo charger 50-60$ range

Does anyone have info on what 3d Foamy I should get? My last plane was a Hot Knife with a .52 and was very fun. Unfortunately after pulling off some nice maneuvers I went into "simulator mode" and few it into a tree

I am partial to the SuperCAP 232, and the Super kit in general specifically for the unique wing design. Although I am not really that picky. There really isn't a replicated stunt plane that I don't like.

Again...slow and low...that is how I like to fly for most of my maneuvers.

Thanks in advance,

Adam

G-Day Mate
my first foamy i got some plans from a mate and went and got them blown up to the size i needed and printed off.
then i braught some 6mm depron foam of the internet http://www.depron-australia.com/
and cut out the plane out of 2 of those sheets glued it together with 5min epoxy foam safe CA is recomended but before i glued it i reinforced it with carbon rods along the LE of the wing and a spar through the guts of the wing then i spraypainted it in bright fluo colers but in a series of very very light coats so the foam dosent react.
i think you can find the plans on the net
it is best to set up these plans as light as posible to get the slow and low type flying i use a 350mah 11.1 lipo with mine and the whole plane ways 650 grams
have fun mate and happy flying

simmo

Hello Adam,
The super kits are fantastic, but the pro kits are also, similar wing design, but different method in getting there. Both hand wind, full throttle, and all 3D slow speed manuevers very well. Cant go wrong with either honestly.

How do I place an order for the SuperCap 232? Do you offer all the extras like control horns, linkage, etc...Id like to get it all from one place or at least get the specs on the extra gear I require. And Id like the landing gear.

a good lipo charger for about 70 is the duratrax onyx 230 but you need a balancer also
duratrax charger( price went up but its really good)
balancer
you could get this combo or you could buy something from hobbycity in china, they are very cheap
imax B5 charger/balancer
power supply for the B5

both of these combos come to a little more than you wanted to spend but they are good reliable chargers, atleast the duratrax, only heard about the b5. Hope this helped
