Okay, I have 3 nice glow helis already that are in flying shape, now I'm looking for a little electric to play with. Are they worth the money? Any suggestions on which one to buy? I'm not expecting it to climb like my Vigor, or auto like my Eagle 2, just want something fun and low(er) maintenance to fly, but I'm not selling my others. I tried electric planes and a couple of gliders, but was not impressed and sold or traded them away.

Thanks guys!

i've been flying a logo 10 for a bit,.. and I've played with an eco (someone else's) and a voyager (someone elses). The logo is more robust than the eco,.. and performs well above the voyager. I've been testing some motors in it for Hacker, and I've found the B50 11L to work extremely well,.. 8~9 minutes hovering around or 5 to 6 minutes of full 3D (i mean full 3D including pirouetting aerobatics and everything). The logo 10 built in a couple hours, the only things that required a bit of work were polishing the tailrotor output shaft to make the pitch slider nice and smooth moving, and fitting the links to the balls. If you just want to play around and aren't interested in 3D, the hacker B50 15L on 12 cells works well and you can get well over 10 minutes of hovering around at lower rpms. I'm using 10 cells with the 11L. The tail on this little machine really has impressed me,..feels at least equal to any well setup 60. Also autos extremely well (with the optional auto unit fitted, and the mikado glass blades).

On another note, if you were not impressed with the electric planks you tried, take a look at my website for the "E3D" kit I produce. The little mpeg video shows it with the recommended inexpensive can motor ($25 motor), and it will hover/torque roll, waterfall, parachute/harrier all with that setup on 10 cells. Gary's electric airplanes ROCK!! They will do it all.

The Logo will keep up with just about any 3D bird for a very impressive flight. I was VERY impressed at the Mikado helicopter and even at how long it stayed in the air doing agressive manuevers!! It sounds great too!

Hey guys, could you do me a favor?

Could you weigh your Logo 10, (without battery and blades) and let me know what kind of servos you are using with it.

I want to get a point of reference to my Quickie 15 which I am getting ready to electrify.

BTW: My E3D is VERY cool, nice design Gary!

Thanks
Jim!

You can buy the Logo 10 at www.RC-Direct.com as they are the US importer and distributor. You can get everything you need from them for it. I know there are other folks selling the Logo's also, just not sure who.

Hope this helps!
