The GT1 was much more durable that the XXX-NT (although the XXX-NT could handle much better). I don't think the GT2 is much more durable than the AD2. I had a XXX-NT RTR-1 and then got the AD2. The plastic on the AD2 was much better (Stiffer and stronger) than the RTR. It is made out of a different material. Obviously the AD2 is much more durable than the original XXX-NT or AD1. These trucks can be overpowered easily. I went through the "give me power" stage and have cut way back. I went to a Sirio (Adam Drake) .12 at one point 2 years ago in the pro-series, and after the 2nd race, went back to a OS .12 CV-R (about 1/2 the HP). My lap times improved considerably, and I'm still running the CV-R.
