if you have the RTR I would think the AD2 tranny would be better. You can find them on ebay every so often.

The only difference I'm aware of is the diff screw components...which I've done and isn't the problem.

The GT1 was much more durable that the XXX-NT (although the XXX-NT could handle much better). I don't think the GT2 is much more durable than the AD2. I had a XXX-NT RTR-1 and then got the AD2. The plastic on the AD2 was much better (Stiffer and stronger) than the RTR. It is made out of a different material. Obviously the AD2 is much more durable than the original XXX-NT or AD1.

These trucks can be overpowered easily. I went through the "give me power" stage and have cut way back. I went to a Sirio (Adam Drake) .12 at one point 2 years ago in the pro-series, and after the 2nd race, went back to a OS .12 CV-R (about 1/2 the HP). My lap times improved considerably, and I'm still running the CV-R.

i wouldn't get it but that is just me. Look at the OS engines and if you got some real $$$ you can buy a Trinity Draked Signature series, but you will have to bump it to start it. There is one on ebay right now. Look uder xxx-nt.

I think the chassis itself will bolt up, but I know you can't use the axles.
