is there a difference in the old style fuel tank and the new style tank. I cracked my tank and the only tank that my lhs had was the old style. with this tank the truck will not start and it blows tons of fuel out of the pipe

hey guys have a brain scratcher for ya i have a xxnt ad2 with an os 12 tz and love it use it for dirt oval racing (it @#%^@ and gets) my girlfriends little brother raced offroad with me and wanted to get into oval racing so for his eighth grade graduation a few months ago i got him a xxnt rtr sport he got third place in the a main his first time racing it and it hasn't really run right since. it started up revved to the moon then dies i put a rebuild kit in it thinking maybe he screwed it up playing with it at home when i wasn't around but it still does the same thing i have a new fuel tank on it's way (i have an ad2 fuel tankon the way that is my next try, hose from the exhaust attaches to the fuel tank lid instead hope it will work in an rtr) the line from the exhaust is filling with fuel also.
    hopfully you can help

Hard to understand your post but from what I can gather it sounds like you're saying that the fuel line from the cap to the pipe is filling up with fuel. If that's the case I'd try replace that piece of fuel line and the tank, sounds like there may be a leak in the tank somewhere.

I just installed a OS CV-R in my XXX-NT and it was a straight swap with the .15FE that was in there. Just reuse your flywheel, collet and clutch bell with the spacer and it drops right in. The upgrade in power was HUGE, I had to loosen my slipper clutch quite a bit just to keep the truck going in a straight line after that.

I was breaking in the new engine in about 30 minutes, it was a hassle free straight swap.

Now I'm just wondering what else is going to break with the huge power increase I'm guessing my diff or spur gear won't last too much longer
