hello everyone
I need a good advice at this , I made myself a combat wing with hot whire and all the stuff but I want to put a brushless motor on it , its like a zagi and it has 48 inches too , so what brushless motor that is around $40 o $50 dollars, propeller , speed control and lipo battery do you recomend me for it so it climbs pretty fast but nothing too expensive nor fancy, just for the fun

this is my first time with electrics too so any recomendation is welcome

VMC-

Try Hobby City for inexpensive brushless motors and batteries. People seem pretty happy with the Zippy Li-po batteries that they sell. You would probably want your wing to go fast so a higher KVA rating on the motor is desirable. I would look for at least 2000 KVA brushles and a 3S li-po running a small diameter prop. Here is the link to Hobby City: http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_index.asp

PS: I would try posting these questions on http://www.rcgroups.com/flying-wings-211/ as it is a much more active sight. There is even a section for combat wings. Jim

Hello VMC...............what sort of covering material did you apply to your wing. I initially put on Oracoat and was not too satisfied with the final so I removed covering. Looking for another option, manufacture seems to be out of business. Tape?

Thanks

Guys, use colored packing tape. Check out RCgroups slope forum for the low down, or any combat site. Glow combat planes are covered the same way.

Yes dear, I did glue my hand to the airplane to keep from dropping it.
