I had the same problem with mine when new. Prior to this the largest glow engine I had ever used was .60 size. There was nothing wrong with the engine, it was just my inexperience with large glow engines. Now it starts easily. I prime mine like this: Thumb over the carb, throttle wide open, no glow igniter. Grab the prop and turn it over 5 times. Then flip the prop about 10 times like you are going to start it (still no glow igniter). The attach the glow igniter, put the throttle about 1/4 open, and flip the prop BACKWARDS with a soft stick. This usually starts the engine in the forward direction.

This technique works 90% of the time. However, there are times when it doesn't work, so I get out the big starter (Dynatron with large 12 volt battery you can also go to 24 volts if you really need some torque). Then the engine starts also.

It sounds to me like you're not priming enough. The engine likes to be wet to start.

Chris, I am also looking at putting the Moki 2.10 into a Sundowner. What prop are you using to get top speed?
