Another OEM deal for Castle? We need more competition in the high-power brushless monster market, doesn't anyone like novak or (???) anymore?
novak...hahaha...whew.

The only others right now in the 1/8th scale market is tekin who is coming out with there own line of "neu influenced" motors and the R1mt and rx8 esc's
here is there 1512 and 1515 sized motors

Then there is the R1mt esc that looks odly familiar. *cough* mmm.

Doesnt look that firmiliar to the MMM. When I took that pic they said that it will be one of the smallest if not the smallest 1/8 esc that is able to 5-6s. Here is another pic of the motor...

to me it looks like a savage X with a BL converstion, they're using thier warlock rims and GT2 tires i know that... and yeah the add says GT2 body, so i think it'll be a BL-ifyed savage X but it'ld be cool if they have some parts compatability... idk i'm gunna check the HPI MT forum in a bit...

...a glimpse at the start of the video I saw what looked like an X-TVP...I reckon they would go with the GP parts over the EP parts but someone else above me stated that they would be updated - redesigned EP parts...

i'm voting a savage X layout based on the attached pics from the movie, any one who's seen enuf of a savage knows that these two could pass as one if not, www.hpiracing.com

If this is a savage x with a factory brushless system installed, it will be the tuffest electric truch on the market. The B.E. e-revo still uses crap 1/10 scale diffs[that wont hold for long]and plastic driveshfts that wont last much past the first battery. The 1/8th diff conversion cost $240 and they still dont have a set of cvds that are a strong as the savages. This savage flux will be a beast. I will have to get it to compare it to my brushless e-revo. I think I know which one will take more abuse.

yeah, guys at the track were comenting on the amount of abuse i put my savage thru, compaired to thier revo's, i hope they use the alloy cases and 4 gear diffs...
yeah idk about CVD's for a savage, i may get a set but for $60ish for a set.... i'll just save up and get parts instead...

...I am all for making up a truck too...I know I will be aftermarketing it ANYWAY so may as well go the parts route...might be a while for these to show up in Japan anyway

...I reckon the front and rear diffs will be the 'same' (albeit slightly 'strengthened') and probabaly the arms and driveshafts will be the same...Chassis plates I am sure will be different so have to wait and see what they come up with for those...Off to the LHR i guess

Why do they insist on renaming all their OEM gear? Why not just call it what it is (like Traxxas and everyone else who uses OEM gear does). It only leads to newbie confusion; irl they're not fooling anyone into thinking it's actually their gear and castle already has a good name when it comes to the parts in question. HPI isn't really a known name when it comes to electronics or motors...

lol novak...

Tekin should be hopping into the market in the next few months with the rx8 and the r1mt. No updates on it thus far.
There is also the losi system in the e-8ight.
