Status: offline 		Telemetry is a system that allows you to monitor detailed statistics of your vehicle, in this case engine RPM, engine temperature, and receiver voltage. As for which to chose, the DX3R is more of a racing radio while the DX3S isn't necessarily designed for optimum performance in a racing environment. That being said, what do you plan on doing?

Status: offline 		I am still new so I am not sure what I am going to be doing. Why is the dx3r better for racing?? What benefit is the telemetry, why could it not be used in racing??

Status: offline 		The DX3R is better for racing because it uses DSM2 which has faster response times than the DSM in the DX3S, telemetry has nothing to do with how well a radio will do in a racing environment except maybe adding a negligible amount of wieght to the car. The DX3S can be used for racing, but you may be at some sort of disadvantage to the DX3R users.

Status: offline 		I think it was introduced sometime in 2007. If you aren't racing though, I strongly suggest the DX3S, I'm getting one myself .

Status: offline 		Engine RPM in a safe range, Engine temperature in a safe range (220-260*F), and that the receiver voltage doesn't get too low otherwise your car can become a runaway. Do you have a failsafe?

Status: offline 		I do not, sorry. I have more experience with Kyosho stuff. But be sure to buy yourself a failsafe, $15 that can save you hundreds.

Status: offline 		That may not be very good for a beginner as it seems like a very serious high speed car. Try something else, perhaps a GT class car like the Kyosho Inferno GT's and OFNA DM-1's, these cars are very good bashers due to the fact that they are buggy based and candle handle some pretty beat up roadways. If you are serious about racing though, try for a dedicated on road car more geared towards beginners. I myself own a Kyosho Inferno GT (the car in my avatar), and it's a great car once you get past break-in.

Status: offline 		Cool, just be easy with it at first, a car as capable as that one seems can get out of control really quick, and repairs will drain your wallet just as fast.

Status: offline 		I do not race so I don't know. Out of the box these will do 40-45mph, but with a new engine and higher gearing you can get well into the 60's. As for now mine is stock with a DX3S on the way, then some brushless high speed/torque servos, an LRP Z.28R Spec 3 w/ a Jammin JP-3, new gearing and an Evolva 2-speed, and misc. bits like universals.

Status: offline 		i run the dx3r w/add on telemetry and from the start i was pissed that i couldn't run telemetry with DSM2 rx's. so i began to use DSM1 rx's to keep the telemetry and there's a slight delay when you car is further away from you. if you need the extra response time then the DSM2 combined with digital servo's will be the fastest. i have a cousin with both nomadio systems and from what i read there faster ! but with lame support and must order rx's from the company, the few things like backlit display and idle up feature just isn't enough to keep me lookin ! BTW the same guy owns the only schumacher car i've seen run in person and the diff problem alone puts schumacher in the same boat as nomadio the diff are 50 bucks per! and the menace and the fusion uses the same diffs. if you think tamiya and kyosho stuff is rough to get wait till you get a load of schumacher.

Status: offline 		if you check the kyosho website they have a kit ver. with a .28 sirio motor on it with an orange chasis it's the sickest form of the inferno you can get but you must put it together and if you know kyosho it will be 6 or 7 hundred bucks. but it has alot of factory upgrades so i want to get those instead of buying a new car and it would still need a few of the part i want like the slicks and the big brakes and new gas tank. i think it's the pro !
