How did you do the muffler, did you use the stock one? Just starting a walker and I have a DLE 20cc for it.
Also thinking about using  the anti-vibe mount. Please send pictures

Status: offline 		Sorry no pics but used dle 20 with std muffler with a 3 inch extension on exhaust. I also used the Dubro mount it works fine

Can anyone tell me what size spinner comes with the Spacewalker 11 120 Arf.
I'm using a Saito 125 in mine.
But I can't start putting it together until I get my shed built, in about 3 weeks.

I just received a TruTurn 2.75" ( TT-2752-B-120) to use on my new saito FG-21 fourstroke. It is designed with slots large enough for 120 sized blades. There is a red 2.75" red plastic spinner included in the kit. Making my starter run on my 18 volt electric drill battery did wonders for turning over the engine (test stand) but the plastic is kind of soft with the kit spinner and it got marked up by my starter's rubber insert which is kind of old so I ordered the aluminum spinner. If you go the TruTurn route be sure to order the correct adapter at the same time.

I have a Truturn 3" alloy spinner, I think I will have to get the box out, & compare the 3" with the cowl, & see If it looks OK.
Unfortunately it is packed away in the carport waiting for my shed.
And I will need a different adaptor anyway, as you said, The 3" was originally used on an OS 160FX.

If you want to spend more get an rc specialties turboheader muffler and adapter. I just got mine and it will really clean up the engine installation under the cowl. They sound cool too.

Status: offline 		HI have you flown your spacewalker 120 with the del20 and did it fly well or was it underpowered? i'm thinking of using an RCFG20 in mine but I'm not sure if if it will fly well. I also have a dle30 which I think would be too much power. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Status: offline 		I'm using a DLE 20 with anti-vibe mount. Put those cheap .062 rods aside and put in some 440 rods if you want real control.
Used 14.5 oz tank mounted near cg and runs for almost 30 min.
Used 6 JR 47BB sport servos with 2000mah nmh battery for both reciever&ign.

Status: offline 		Dan v thanks for your response too. I agree with the upgrades. Sometime we tend to forget how cheap push roods can be and create more of a problem then it's worth. I'll keep you guys informed as I progress after I receive the plane.

Status: offline 		I am flying my Walker with the DLE20 and For me it has plenty of power...The DLE20 is a little power house..The only thing I am finding is it dosent idol down rite away...when you chop the throttle it takes a few seconds so you need to set up early for landing..From what I understand this is an ignition unit issue ..If I change Ignition units that problem will go away....Also like all walboros the top half of the throttle dosent do much .. The bottom half has most of the throttle transition .. I am guessing that I could set this up with my radio if I took some time to figure out how to do it....As far as power goes for me it has plenty...Walkers aren't ment too be wildly aerobatic planes , rather than plesant sunday flyers...I would say my DLE was equal too roughly a OS 120AX, It might have a little more power...

Status: offline 		WE JUST GOT THE CARB SET ON MY DLE 20cc) THE OTHER DAY>MINE WOULDN"T IDLE DOWN EITHER> I WAS about a 1/4 turn TOO RICH ON THE LOW SIDE> HERE IS WHERE WE HAVE IT SET NOW>>>>LOW SIDE IS JUST UNDER ONE TURN< HIGH SIDE IS JUST OVER ONE TURN>I think I maybe be a little lean on the high side because I'm only turning 8,500 rpm, should be at least at 9, 500
I have the stock ignition and it's just fine. I use a little expo in the throttle setting for a smooth throttle transition, and it's great.

Looks much more scale than the supplied one and probably the shock absorbing capability is nice to have.

like someelese has done in these posts. use tri stock above plate and re-support front underside of fuse just like in the other post.

Status: offline 		I messed up. I've been on the negative side of the Seagull Spacewalker II 120 and now have to confess it seems it was my own doing. I built the plane more than a year ago and after several outings concluded I didn't like it. My reason was primarily that it wanted to roll constantly. Admittedly, I never got a chance to fly it in anything but strong winds. Then, I couldn't get it out of a flat spin and it went down, tearing up the wings but hardly scratching the fueslage.

A decision was made to give that away. A few months went by and I'd not stripped motor and electronics from it yet, and I decided to order the wings before they might no longer be available as someone might be interested in the complete plane. It has set now for months and a winter project of upgrading the fleet to LiFe batteries and given that the Spacewalker was otherwise flight ready, I decided to upgrade it as well and maybe give it a second look.

After upgrading the batteries, like the other planes before it, it got a CG check to verify the CG hadn't gone bad. The three LiFe batteries (two flight and one ignition) were located in the same spots as the two NiCad and one NiMh that was removed and I didn't expect the CG to have changed much.

On the CG machine, I couldn't grasp that the plane required four additional ounces at the tail to balance. There was all ready 3/4 oz stuck to the tail wheel bracket that confirmed that the plane had been balanced but evidently it must have been wrongly done or the new wings were grossly lighter than the originals. I've never had to add that much tail weight before. The engine is a Zenoah G-26 ei.

I flew the plane today in fairly light air conditions and it flew very nicely... nothing of the ill manners I'd remembered. Previously it wanted continually to roll right or left. It was loath to come out of a spin and wouldn't come out of a flat spin. Today, it had no problems quickly coming out of a spin after neutralizing controls. I'm now convinced that it had been wrongly balanced very nose heavy. How it could have happened, I don't know unless I somehow thought 11 cm was 11mm though it is hard to fathom I'd think that small amount would be the CG point.

What I think happened was that I set 11 mm on my CG machine without mentally observing how close it was to the axle of the machine (CG point) and that placing the plane inverted on the machine of course covered up the relationship of the forward stop (that positions the wing leading edge) and the axle (CG point when plane balanced).

At any rate, I repent of the bad things I've said about the Seagull Spacewalker. When properly balanced it flies well.
