Status: offline 		Question on servos, are the JR DS821 suitable all the way around or should I put some higher torque servos on elevator and flap? What about nose gear steering do I need a metal gear on that one? I plane on keeping it fixed gear for at least awhile.

Status: offline 		We are flying serveral on the 821 servo. OK on the single flap, as there is leverage. A servo with more precision would be better on the elevator (I have a JR 8231 on mine) but 821 would be OK again.
Nose steering...MG is good, but the Nano has little trail on the nose leg, so little feed back through the servo means plastic geared servos are OK...

Status: offline 		Thanks for the validation on the servo's, I am planning on running either a A123 or Lipo for receiver power without regulator and going with the DS821HV versions and using Hitech HS-5685MH on the elevator and flap. The 5685 has plently of torque, not sure about resolution.

Don't know the Hitech numbers as I'm not a fan of their servos. I know quite a few guys feel they are OK though.

The E Flight retracts have proven to be very reliable in all models we have tried them.

No not necessary. Thin Cyno with a long thin applicator will do the trick

Status: offline 		I always cut back the covering a small bit and drill a wicking hole. I also use the small noodle thread tubes on my CA bottle to pin point the glue. I'v never had one of the CA hinges to come loose.

Status: offline 		For those running stock fixed gear are you replacing the front with a longer length to get the wing at lest level? Mine too low without a longer front wire strut. Gonna have to make one abit longer to get the nose up I guess.

Status: offline 		Has anyone else tried flick rolls with theirs? Also, what is your elevator feel like?

I'm wondering if mine is nose heavy. The elevator is quite soft, even with quite a bit of movement on it (and not much expo). Also, it is very hard to flick roll. Full pro spin in forward flight results in a tight corkscrew rather than a flick. Is this normal behaviour for the Nano?

Mine ties itself in knots snapping. Balance is infront of instruction position (probably somewhere on this thread) My movements are quite large though.

If my measurements are correct then mine is on the recommended position so I won't move it back yet. I'll have a look and see if I can get some more control surface movement first.

I built my Nano back in 2010 (theres a couple of pictures on pages 31/34 of this thread) I have never flown it, always too busy with work or family, so its been an ornament, I have run it a couple of times but thats all, seems a bit of a waste but I'm never going to get around to it, in fact its been a while since I flew anything.

Anyway getting to the point I just wondered if there was anyone on here that might be interested in it or knows anyone at a club etc thats looking for one. I'd like it to go to someone who's going to fly it or use it for parts in thier own project, just thought I'd ask in this thread first instead of just generally advertising it.

I'm in the UK.
