Can anyone tell me why this cycler will cycle my Airtronics Vanguard transmitter, but not my Hitec Eclipse, or a Hitec Prisim.
The charging jacks appear identical, the polarity is the same. But I can't get it to charge or discharge the Hitec Transmitters?

Your HiTec transmitters have a diode in the cirucit that must be jumpered.

See http://www.siriuselectronics.com/services.htm

Thanks Red, but won't that void the warranty on my new Transmitter?

Hard to say, if done properly by someone fairly skilled in soldering fine wire to PC boards it should not. HiTec people are pretty reasonable. You could always drop them a note and ask.

Do your Hitec transmitter packs have a connector so you can unplug the pack and cycle it. I know my Airtronics pack can be removed but my low-end 4 channel Hitec doesn't have a readily accessible plug. Maybe your high-end ones do??

Should I ask them why they put the diode in the charging circuit to begin with? Or do you wish to imply that anyone with limited soldering skills can improve on the design?

I have a H9 sure cycle & it works fine. I also have a Futaba & had to have the diode bridged at my local hobby store. They charged $3.00 to do it! What a bargain. Now I don't have to take my battery out of my radio to charge it with my Surecycle.

As a point of interest I WAS able to charge my Futaba at the field with my Cermark(?) power panel before I had done the diode bridge. Go figure!

Reset,
It's easy to jump the diode on the board. Click on Sirius site above and select your tx. You'll get an excellent photo(s) which shows exactly where to solder the wire. Use a pencil type iron and print and set the photo beside you. I've done it on all mine and I'm no super-solderer.
