Alright, put me on the list to drive that bad boy. Though the real question is will you give interested pilots a chance on your new I-phone?

Jim.
Another good point to mention is that the aieplane disassembles and and assembles very easily. Takes about 5 minutes to completely take it apart, and or put it back together. You can see how neatly it packs away for transport. Going flying tomorrow.

1. Large heat plume shown on landing at Florida Jets (photo Brian Teasdale).
2. Packed and ready for flying tomorrow. Stabs and vertical removal make for great travel.

Hi Lewis.
Is that a new trailer?

No...it's the one I bought last year. I put in a different setup for transport of the planes. I can now carry four jets, and that includes the F-18 and F-15 easily.

Lewis I was watching the video of you at FL Jets and noticed the paint job on the flaps, was this customized for you?
I then went back through your photos and found you had taken shots of the flaps.

I like the "Playboy Bunny" and the "Devil Girl" blended into the camo scheme, very cool

Rich,

The "Playboy Bunny" and the "Devil Girl" are on the full scale. The military guys must have been watching an I-PHONE when they painted the full scale(LOL). Did the final test flights on the F-15 Saturday. The plane is PERFECT!!!!!!! I'll post results Monday.

Great looking jet.. I'm a crew chief on 15's and this makes me want to get into jets now even more..... Now I just need to decide which kit to get, I think this Fei Boa Strike Eagle might be a little to much for me now.... Would love to get there though. Again Great looking jet!!

Thanks Shawn. It's a very fun airplane to fly. Not a first jet by any means, but one that will be more comfortable to transition into.

Thanks for all that you do for our country. GO USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Conclusion
The FeiBao 1/7th F-15-E has indeed been a joy to build and fly. It's a superb aircraft that's very predictable, and no flaws. Below are the throws and CG for this magnificient model. I will continue to monitor this thread for questions and comments. Enjoy the video, and happy flying.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C3z2c-q8b20

The control throws for the FeiBao F-15 are...

Aileron-1 3/8 up and down
Elevator-2 inches up and down
Rudder1 1/4 left and right
Flap-takeoff-12 degrees
Landing-20 degrees
CG 235 mm from leading edge (at the root)

General, We spoke thursday last week and you told me the CG was set at 190 from the leading edge. Now I see you posted that it was 235mm back from the leading edge. Which of these two measurements are correct???
thanks

Hello,
I used all JR servos. 2-8711's on the stabs, and 8611a on everything else. All A123 batteries, and works great for me.

Photos are from the recent Blue Grass Jet Jam.

Looking good Lewis, getting some time on mine right now, I like it.

Just a small scale point, the large main and nose doors should be closed when the gear is down.

Lewis,

Beautful bird you have. Planning to get same. Could you please advise how the F-15E handles on take off and landing (i.e. does it need a long take off run? are landings short? how is the handling at low speed and how slow can you go before stalling? Planing to put a P-160 SE, will this be enough power or should i go 180/200 imperatively?

Thanks for your feedback.
Best regards,

Best regards,

The F-15 handles very well on takeoff, just make sure the brakes aren't dragging.

Take off roll is about 400 to 500 feet. I prefer the take off be more scale like.

The F-15 handles very well on landing (don't have it nose heavy). Landings can be very short if desired.

When it starts to sink, add power. It won't roll over...just sinks at slow speeds.

I using a Jet Central Rhino that makes 40 pounds of thrust at 6000 ft. With all of the scale options I have, mine came out at 43 1/2 pounds. These is no such case as too much power...just bring the stick back (LOL). I'm sure your chioces should do well.

Thanks Lewis,

Planing to have lighting system, smoke and ordnace among other scale features and believ it would end up heavier then yours. As the runway i am using is only about 500 feet i want to make sure that my choice of power will be ok and not on the edge...

When you mention short landing, how short this would be??

Thanks again.
Regards,
Dany

Dany,

I have brought it in, and have it roll out 50 feet past me. Be cautious with that one!
