I know alot of you guys are Cen haters and shoot i even wore my rubber boots just in case it gets deep in here but you should check this car out.

$297 to my door rtr... thats cheaper than some engines ive seen

I ended up with the garmin forerunner 101 off my local craiglist its an older model but takes regular alkaline batts. Its works well i tested it on the way home, its accurate.

next is to find out if the CEN ctr 5.0  v2 will do 90+ mph out of the box, or maybe crash it trying.

Just put the big daddy rb modded nova in the rs4-3, along with a custom cut & welded short manifold with a novarossi 9886 pipe, fits the car like a glove! I don't have to run the pipe up high now over the gas tank
this should be fun!

If anyone is interested I have tons of extra parts for of a cd3's and hpi racer 2's. So if you got one sitting around with a few parts broke or worn let me know. The cd3 collection is just plain crazy. I have 3 new whole cars with one completely aluminum and enough parts to make another new pro version. The racer 2 collection isn't as plentiful but I do have some rare parts. Also the cvds from the cd3 work great on the front of a hpi racer2.

Do you guys know if the pinion gears off of Team Associated NTC3 fit into the clutchbell of an HPI rs4-3? And will the gears mesh correctly?

Nope, and no. The threads on the bell are not the same, and the ntc3 uses mod 0.8 pitch while hpi uses mod 1.

How many teeth are you looking for, I got big gears

Ive got a 10 yr old Megatech Razor here, it does run and I know the original owner, he says it only has a quart of fuel thru it. Anyways he had I replaced servos and upgraded the radio it does run. The downfall is that the rear diff was not shimmed properly so the pinion wore out. Will we swapped the front to the rear and now its RWD. I was thinking of putting the RS4 evo diffs in it to make it AWD again. The crazy part is I want to drop one of my modded picco 28's in it. from the looks of it the stock motor mounts will work with the picco and the motor will fit nice and perfect! I do however need to make a new chassis as this one is to thin even for the stock motor.

Basically I need new tires, make a new chassis, and mod RS4 evo diffs to fit.

Well the megatech motor mount wont work, installed on the motor it sits to far back, So i decided to use the savage motor mount. Just need to widen the holes to allow me to set the mesh. So far so good. Keep in mind I will be making a new chassis for it as the old one is being used as a template.

Still up in the air right now, but I might just buy some RS4 bulks and a arms and use them instead of the mega tech stuff. Kind of a hybrid chassis.

What's a good servo to use for throttle and steering? I just burned out my throttle by a electrical short. My steering is really slow. Then to test my throttle servo I caused the short to see if it was good and I burned out my receiver. All items were pricey, each servo was $40 and receiver was $30

I use the Flysky FS-GT3B radio and rx, as far as servos... on road stuff is new to me, I would imagine you wouldnt need alot of torque. I would run a metal gear servo. My car has the Hitec 645mg for steering and a cheap futaba 3306 throttle brake servo.

Radio- $40
Servos- $40

If i had to put a new throttle servo in I would use the hpi sf-10

I am partial to Jr servos. They come with a 3yr warrenty too so that's a bonus. I have had mine in my truck for about 5 yrs now and the steering is starting to get a little twitchy now. I use the digital spot ones they are 35 each but worth it. Futaba are nice as well. I use the same for both and do recommend to have a goose throttle and brake servo. The cheaper ones seem to fade from not having enough torque when the brakes get hot.

Got the car up and runnin, I started filming right after I fired it up. The car has literally sat for 10years so the fuel tank filter is a little gummed up. Oh well Im just glad it runs lol. I havent had a chace to actually drive it, but I might wait until I can fab up a new chassis.

Try flipping the pipe and header over the car on the left side, see how that looks and works out.

I used the savage .25 header on my big block in the RS4, I had it cut and welded though.
Alternatively you can put front A arms in the rear and it will have plenty of room for the savage header.

Hi guys I know I shouldn't be In Here being an E Monster truck kinda fan but I have a ? about an hpi rs4 super nitro My boss built one last year and dumped well over $1500 into it I don't know much about nitro but he took the best of everything he could find and put it on this car it is nowhere near stock it was clocked at 102 mph. He has a titanium chassis on it some big a$$ pretty motor and exhaust on it. I guess my question is how much is one of these car even worth. He's in a pinch and bought some air compressors for his old Chevy without the wife knowing he told me $200 I get the car the radio and everything else I need to start it. He said it comes with a starter box? Like I said I don't know anything nitro nor do I care to know a lot I just feel I could flip this thing if its worth it. Any and all advise will be more then helpful thanks in advance and happy bashing :-)

Hea guys, just finished up a redcat 10Th scale tornado buggy chassis with a Dynamite mach 2 .26 big block engine. Everything is mounted and sorted out. We have a out law 10Th scale with .21 to .28 big block home built conversion class. After seeing them run I was hooked and built my own car. Everyone runs either a exceed or redcat 10Th scale buggy chassis that hold up well with the small block clutch bell and 3 shoe big block clutch and two speed trans. All metal and all stock. Those buggy's will out run a 1/8Th scale with a .28 engine hands down. 4.6 lbs dry with anywhere from 2.5 to 3.6 hp engines, compared to 7.5 lb 8Th scale some up to 12 lbs. Tomorrow I will break in the engine and get it ready to compete after tech inspection. Try to qualify and be competitive next Saturday race day. I will be running a 2.4ghz with the 8AA battery set up radio. Aluminum adjustable shocks, with 30 weight oil, stock gears and breaks. I hope I have enough to at least qualify. All the best. I am not trying to hi jack your post sorry, I get carried a way.
All the best!
