i have 2 servos and a rx with crystal on ch24. Reciever has 4 channels.im trying to test to see if the servo work or not. my question is how do i hook up the rx to the Esc that comes with the zagi. which channel does what go into ? esc on channel 3, servos on 1 and 2. i tried connecting it like this and plug in the battery but nothing moved. Im using Futaba 9C and was trying this in airplane mode. Do i have to adjust anything to make the servo move ? the servos are brand new and so is everything.
thx for you help

Sounds like you got it right. The connection from the ESC to the RX provides RX power while at the same time getting the throttle control from channel 3 of the RX. Make sure you have the little on-off switch on the ESC turned on and that your battery is charged.

If the receiver did not come with the transmitter, check that the frequency shift is correct (Futaba and Hitec go one way JR the other). Also check that transmitter and receiver are set the same for PCM (digital) vs. PWM (analog) modulation.

Check the "servo reversing" on ch.3. I am using a 9CAP with a Rondo 400 ESC, and I had to reverse channel 3 to make it work. Also, plug a servo into channel 3 to make sure that the receiver is ok. You could also try plugging the ESC into a different channel to check.

Ditto on the Channel 3 reversing. My SkySport 6 does the same.

Also, that little switch on the esc, TAKE IT OUT AND BURN THE PIECE OF CRAP!!! That stupid switch causes SO MUCH TROUBLE!!! Just solder the leads together so plugging in the battery is turning your plane on

Amen to that!! Just one more thing to go wrong. Just make sure that the throttle stick on the TX is set to minimum before powering up. Otherwise the ESC seems to get confused with the minimum position. This happened to me on the ESC furnished with the Zagi 400.

Make sure that you reverse the prop per instructions. You can also run some clear tape along the trailing edge of the elevons - they will last longer. Set your CG per the instructions - not too far forward, otherwise the Zagi is a dog. I ran 8 cell NiCd packs in mine - hope to try the NiMh sometime. I used hs-81 servos and a Hitec 555 Rx. Make sure you get the spray-on adhesive that does not eat styro - the new 3M formula will. Finally, you can check the lateral (left-right) balance. Please email if you have any questions while building.
Dan
