Hi
I recently bought a used bergen observer eb and I can't make its downlink work. The former owner ****ed us up (he didn't join either the csm gyro nor the zimmerman pipe) and obvisouly he doesn't really want to answer me. It's a mere white downlink with patch-antenna receiver. I can only get it work for 3 secs then the picture starts to have lots of glitches and I can't finally see anything. If I want to have it work once again, I need to let it rest for a few minutes. I opened both Tx and RX and nothing gets hot, just slightly warm. I have absolutely no idea of the reason of that problem. There's just one thing I can signal : it works that way with 3s a123 but doesn't work at all with a 12v dc adapter. I'm gonna try with a lower voltage ... But if anybody has any idea of what's happening I would be glad to listen to him lol.
Thanks and greetings from France

Should work fine with a charged 3s, voltage requirements are from 11.0 volts to around 13.5 volts if I remember correctly. Been using these for over 5 years with no trouble.
Sound as though you have a bad Transmitter?
But on the good side, Monte at Wireless has treated us very well in the past. email him and I am sure he can repair it for you.

Thank for answer.
I finally got it work with a 8 cell nimh pack with a 11.8V voltage. It's really surprising as it doesn't work at all with a 12v dc adapter ??!! My 3s a123 pack also has a problem, my first rx pack short-circuited himself during a charge, and this one seems to discharge himself, just charged it, it's at 7.3V ... These 1100 cells don't really perform as my prefered 2300 cells ... Need to check the wiring. I'll post a video of the first onboard camera flight ! It's such a shame that the video out plug of my samsung nv7 is under the frame, no way to use the av out when the camera is fixed on the tray of the bergen, it hides the plug ...
have a nice flight
