Saito FG20. Anybody got one?
I just checked the Horizon Site. It used to say available late December. Now it says "Out of Stock". I assume that means they had some and are now sold out.
Did anyone get one of these yet? If so, have you run it yet?
Thanks
Bob

That could be but when quantities are limited ususally the pre-orders from the dealers get filled first. Those are ususally placed because someone told the dealer to order one for them. That's how I got my FG-36

This may be too early to ask but just thinking out loud, if I was to get the gas carb, inlet manifold and conrod and modify my saito 125 with the parts plus fixing a magnet and sensor, do you reckon I may have the same engine? This could save me some bucks.

RE: Saito FG20. Anybody got one?
I just got a Saito FG20! I'm planning on putting it on my 4 Star 60 this weekend. Shortly after I picked up the engine I installed it on a test stand and it fired right up. Unfortunately it was late and I had to work early the next morning. So I wasn't able to run it very long, nor could I get any tach readings etc. I'll advise how it does once I get time to work on it again.

Larry,
From what I've read, they realized that going away from 20:1 after break in was causing some of the problems. Since 2 cycle oil is designed to burn, exhaust residue shouldn't be problem like on Glow engines.
Bring it to the club tonight. I'd like to see it!

The latest japanese magazine has a review on the engine. On an apc 16x6 prop, it was turning 8800rpm and idles at 1800rpm. The reviewer used a small clear container filled with absorbent material like rags to soak up the oil from the breather tube.
