Status: offline 		I have a Sprint 2 Sport Camaro and have purchased two other bodies for it. A '65 Mustang 350 GT and a Ford GT. The mustang body goes on well and looks good with the stock wheels and tires that came on it. The Ford GT is a little different. Does anyone have this body? The body needs to be lowered from the stock position front and back. The rear shock tower lowers to an OK level but the fronts do not. Do I need to cut down the post on the front for the body to fit?
Also, it appears that I will need to go with low profile tires as the stock ones appear to be too large for this body. Anyone have any experience with this? The paint and decals look awesome. I painted it metalic black and used the blue decals on it. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Status: offline 		That's what I did and especially on the front, it doesn't go down far enough. Do I need to trim the front posts to lower it enough? By doing that though it might lower it too much to use the Mustang or Camaro body.

Status: online 		You can trim it off but if its too low yu will have to find a secondary set to replace to use for the other bodies.

Status: offline 		Thanks, that's what I thought I might have to do. I am looking for a set of wheels with low profile tires to fit once I get the body issue resolved. Don't think the stock wheels and tires will fit with this low profile body.

Already have the Korean belts.  
They have great T shirts too...
The aluminum pulleys are not a priority at this time.

She's sitting @ 3.51 right now with a Turniy 21.5T @ + 3 marks of timing =
I have to wait until Friday night for the local indoor to see if the pig will pull...
A couple of guys are running Tamiya Black Cans & they're faster than the 21.5Ts

Status: offline 		I did have to do a lot of trimming to get the body to fit. Neither the Camaro or Mustang body will fit it now. I have ordered new front posts for them and will have to switch them when I change bodies. The Ford GT body looks awsome on the car. The stock wheels and tires fit and look great on it so I won't have to get new wheels and tires.  If I knew how to post a picture I would show the Ford GT.

Status: offline 		Does anybody know which rotors or rotors/calipers work on the Sprint 2 chassis? I tried to use the ones that came with the Tamiya accessories set and they rubbed on the A arm. If the nut was deeper, it woudln't have this problem. I'm just curious if any of you have used any rotors with your setup.

Status: offline 		The Sprint uses cheap black metal on the drive cups that wear stupid fast, HPI CVDs and ball diffs have different metal and wear much slower!  I have seen a person put a plastic tip protector and widen the slot on the drive cup like is done on the Xray type cars which helped but this person is a machinists and is able to mill the parts correctly.  Myself i use CVDs and change the inner cups as there cheap to replace.

You can go to www.toughracing.com  which they make excellent belts with kevlars and real rubber.  A Hpi 15t Aluminum top pulley helps especially on the rear belt. 

RPM Ball links and maybe 3racing Aluminum front and rear uprights and c hubs do help if your rough?

I also took a front tensioner(added bearings instead of bushings) turned it upside down to pick up the slack in the rear belt and stop it from bouncing and rubbing the backside of the motor.

Status: offline 		Hey Drc, did you aslo find the hard steel for the diffrential cups/shafts? i've never seen them before only on the one way diff that's aftermarket and you can't use the cups for the stock diff...

Status: offline 		I recently put some RPM rod ends on the steering and they're quite snug. much more snug than the blue ones i got a while back..  I noticed about 10 minutes into the first run that the steering gotten really sluggish, to the point it would only turn one way.  Should i try to loosen them up or could a more powerful servo do the trick? any ideas are appreciated and servo recommondations!

Status: offline 		Please help guys!! I just got the HPI Falken Tire Porsche 911 GT3 RSR Sprint 2 Sport and I've only ran it twice and I am getting a clicking noise from the back of the car?!? Almost sounds like its the diff?!?! Should I sent it back? I've had it for 3 days. Anyone know what this could be?

Status: offline 		it could be the belt, try tightening the belt tensioner, sometimes when the belts slips it makes a clicking noise.
