Called HPI with the problem. I explained what was going on with the pulley. They said that the two shaft mounts holding the pulleys has to be adjusted. Let me explain what part that is... Ok you see the left and right motor mounts, then there is the shaft that holds the pulleys, then you have the bearings sitting on those two round black plastic parts, well those two parts are not perfectly round, they are oval if you look carefully. HPI said that they have to be pointing furthest to the rear.

I've tried it with a new set of pulleys, 5 minutes into the runs and show no sign of wear.

I will keep running today and see how it goes so hopefully this works.

I called HPI as well was told the same thing ...after breaking a belt and trying there fix it works for a while but belt will still break stretch, or shred.......Installing a tension arm works better belt is lasting allot longer on the initial setup.

Yup. Still wears out. But it takes longer. Will wait for the traxxas 15t pulley. Still on back order but can't wait till I get it.

That appears to be the same pulley? just do a ebay search on the pulleys? I got 3 or 4 from Phils Hobby on ebay.

It stops the belt from tearing up on the top plastic pulley , which just takes a few jumps on it to ground it down quick, bottom diff pulley is much bigger and can spread the load out much better!

Just got some parts in and did the work as I saw in some of you guys pics. I didnt do any holes, the rear post by the motor was broken, so I placed a belt tensioner there. It is very well adjustable and alignes perfectly.

On the front belt i added another tensioner but without the plastic part, just used a longer screw to reach the other end. No nut needed there.

It was all an easy fix.
