What a beautiful Baron you have too! How did you make your seat belts and nose gear light? On my Baron Doors I used two robart nose gear hinges and the rear doors I used Brass hinges from a doll house store since I was unable to get the rear doors to work with the same range as the real airplane.

Great job Alpha! Speaking of the Benedini sound system, I too was thinking the same thing. I actually found a set of sound files for the Baron, while searching the net one time. We could give them to Benedini to make an audio file for the Baron!

James.

Hey James,
nice to see you again! It' s really not nessesary to ask Thomas Benedini for a Baron-soundfile, because it's done:

The prototype for the Baron...

THX!
For the seat belts I've choosed some gift tapes (? google-translater...) and the taxi-light is simply glued on the oleo strut for cooling (!) instead of a cooling body, which comes together with the landing light, cause it's going to be very hot !
For lighting please google "emcotec" -> "lighting" -> "landing lights" -> "12 mm Landing light"  (direct-link doesn't work) , unbeleavible extreme bright SMD emitters.
Additional landing lights will going into the wings, like older Baron-styles - looks much more interesting on final aproach, I think...
The Brass hinges are the way to go -  looks very "aviation-like" !!

Ah, yes I think I remember now. You know what, I think I did already send the files to Thomas some time ago, but I had forgotten!! Silly me!

Yeah, but I think he gives away the sound files for free. Anyway, just glad to help, and it will benefit me in the end anyway!

In fact the Baron-sound file is one of the very best on the benedini hp !
Sounds like a beast within a lot of  "bass-loading" !
The only thing I miss is the "prop-wash"-sound, as you can hear on the yt-vid below :

Late to the party but I finally have this kit, still gathering the necessary pieces. Went through this long thread and collected a lot of valuable information, thanks guys! I plan to build the plane as light as possible, trying to see if Power 32 size motors will be enough. There is a low kv version over at HobbyKing which I'll experiment with 6s lipo. I have some other 40 size planes and several larger planes all running 6s, so it will keep my battery inventory consistent.

I've seen the weird up/down cycle issue of E-Flite retracts in person and on Youtube. Has anybody experienced that with the scale struts?

Ordered some 1 watt LED emitters which I had success with before. These are the only ones that are visible during day light.
